→ you know I'd rather work alone than play a supporting role
When: August 14th.
Rating: R.
Characters: Everyone! Tell your friends!
Summary: There are no Star Wars people in the City so let's have ourselves a bit of education.
What started off as a brosession quickly turned into a free for all movie night. Not that Stiles minds considering, but it means he has to plan and execute everything a lot more smoothly. So when Saya offers up the equipment they need he jumps at the chance.
Isaac helps cart everything about - werewolf strength, Stiles is envious -, and together they track down a space in Xanadu and fill it. It's not a hot night but it's warm and balmy and nobody's going to end up with pneumonia. Squashy beanbags get borrowed off a particularly hipster coffee shop and placed liberally about the place. They take what they can, couches that fit out of doors and large obnoxious cushions so everyone has a place to settle. There's a fuckton of candy too. Stiles pretty much wipes out a weeks allowance alone getting it and the soda. But if he's doing something he's doing it properly and he texts everyone the time and the place and all but collapses into a beanbag.
When people arrive he'll move. Honest.

scott mccall
What everyone needs is clearly a movie night.
Scott's mom gave him the idea of taking one of the clean comforters so several people can fit as well as a few pillows. He arrives on the earlier side to help set up because he's a bro like that.
He's really freaking hoping they're just watching three of these and not six including the three bad ones. And not the Christmas special because that's something Stiles would totally do to spite him. Setting out the blanket and setting down several bowls of popcorn, Scott plops down on his blanket. He will take applications to share but Allison and Isaac get first dibs. He hasn't said any of this. Maybe he's hoping.
He's really confused right now, can't you tell?
For now, he watches Stiles move about.
During the movie, he will totally cuddle or what have you and make colorful commentary/ask questions.

She sets up on one of the couches, curling up against the arm with her legs tucked in, and she's brought a blanket from her room so she can curl up underneath it in case it gets cold once the sun goes down. There will be absolutely no cuddling going on. Maybe.
She finds Scott's gaze at one point when the opening credits start, grinning slowly.
"You excited?" she whispers.

Re: scott mccall
Scott watching him move about isn't new. Scott's always watching him. Because Stile is a boy who can't stop. But maybe with everything he's reading in to that look more than he should. Maybe not. He doesn't know. So he pauses with his hand curled around a pack of Reece's and then he tosses it Scott's way.
"On a scale of one to ten, how terrified are you?"

"So is it all you dreamed it would be?" Since this must have been orchestrated by friends who don't want their companion to be the butt of pop culture jokes. Seriously, who doesn't know about Star Wars?

Isaac Lahey
Then again he was particularly chipper because he'd been having a nice week and a lot of caffeine today so he's just moving from place to place waiting to chill out.

Stiles bumps Isaac's shoulder with his own as he goes past, rolling his eyes at Isaac's dumb grin. "Are you mid sugar rush? Should I get the bucket for when you eventually crash?"

He sees Isaac as he's looking around, and he waves fingers at the blond casually. Rumanceks are charmers, and Peter is never going to be the new kid that hangs on the wall, biting his lip and wondering who to talk to. He steals some candy, setting the soda down in an oblique sort of trade.
"Hey."

When he arrives at Xanadu, maybe a few minutes before the movie starts, he greets and speaks other people first, common courtesy and all. No candy for this one, thank you very much, but he does have a cup of soda in his hands a moment later.
Then he sits down in out of the couches they've somehow managed to haul outdoors, sinking into the cushions.

"Assholes," he exclaims to no one in particular, a bark of alarm given when Obi-Wan is shot off the mountainside.
He really likes Kenobi, okay. That guy is awesome.
"You look so cool," he tells Anakin, shaking his head and chewing open-mouthed, "but you're just a wad."
If anyone happens to be sitting next to Jim, they'll already know this is coming. He tends to talk about whatever pisses him off and reacts animatedly when his favorite characters (Anakin and Obi-Wan, even if he keeps huffing frustratedly at the former) are in danger.
"Oh, shit, he knows they're dying! Oh my God, Yoda, no." Shaking his head, his holds the sides of his face and groans. A yell of, "Not the younglings!" echoes the moment Anakin strides into the Jedi Temple and he drops his head back on his beanbag. "Why is everyone such a secret evil dick in this movie! 'Master Skywalker'. Run, kid! Is Obi-Wan really dead?"
no subject
Stiles drops down beside him and offers him some strawberry laces. He wonders if it's cheating to show it to Jim Kirk. Star Wars vs. Star Trek. But hey, if he's breaking a rule somewhere he doesn't care.

He hasn't picked a favourite character, but this Kenobi fellow seems to have a good grasp of things.
At the slaughter of the younglings, however, he goes completely and utterly still, preferring to let Jim react for both of them.
Lydia Martin
As to the important question of Luke Skywalker or Han Solo? Han Solo. Every time.

Allison might be worried about her best friend, but she's not going to avoid her by any means, especially when she sees her at the movie night. She slips off the couch she's been sitting on and makes her way over to where Lydia's sitting. She's long overdue for some girl time.
"Is this seat taken?"

Maybe it's not entirely like her to just be an observer instead of flitting around from everyone she knows. But there are aspects of this that remind her of home, too, so she's quiet and just watching, a bag of popcorn levitating in the air next to her. Come say hi.]

He watches the movies intently, quietly, somewhat grateful that movies don't leave the burden of too much interaction with strangers on him. Not that he would necessarily mind making new friends - it feels like the City has taken away so many of his recently - but starting those first conversations is always the hardest part. ]

Clint Barton
He's accustomed to sitting out in the cold for long periods of time, but he still throws on his thickest pair of combats and a jumper to go with it, plus a new jacket he's recently acquired; he's not dressed up for the occasion, exactly, but he looks smart enough.
He finds an empty beanbag and settles down into it, sprawling out like he owns the place and making himself very much at home. But he's also brought a fair amount of alcohol with him, so if anyone happens to want in, all they have to do is ask.
