Summary: There are no Star Wars people in the City so let's have ourselves a bit of education.

What started off as a brosession quickly turned into a free for all movie night. Not that Stiles minds considering, but it means he has to plan and execute everything a lot more smoothly. So when Saya offers up the equipment they need he jumps at the chance.

Isaac helps cart everything about - werewolf strength, Stiles is envious -, and together they track down a space in Xanadu and fill it. It's not a hot night but it's warm and balmy and nobody's going to end up with pneumonia. Squashy beanbags get borrowed off a particularly hipster coffee shop and placed liberally about the place. They take what they can, couches that fit out of doors and large obnoxious cushions so everyone has a place to settle. There's a fuckton of candy too. Stiles pretty much wipes out a weeks allowance alone getting it and the soda. But if he's doing something he's doing it properly and he texts everyone the time and the place and all but collapses into a beanbag.

When people arrive he'll move. Honest.

"We're not in charge of the curses," he points out, putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Eventually, everyone here accepts that and works around appointing blame where it belongs."

[affectioning]

"I still feel guilty. And I know eventually I have to tell her, but not how. I know she wasn't here and I know it wasn't my choice but... It still happened," he says, looking into Clint's eyes. His reassurance does help immensely, however.

"You'll figure it out." Because he seems like a decent kid, smart and sweet, and the fact he feels guilty for something he had no control over speaks volumes. "But sooner is usually better than later. She seems reasonable, I don't think you've got much to be worried about."

[affectioning]

"Yeah. Maybe." Hopefully. "Do you have anyone here you love?"

[bettercallit]

"There was someone." He shrugs, never good with the whole openly speaking feelings of a personal nature thing. "But they left." And back home, they're not exactly alive and kicking.

[affectioning]

"Maybe they'll be back," he offers as an alternative. "There are people here, too. You'll find someone else! Remember. You're awesome."

"Maybe." He's not as hopeful, but the positiveness from him helps, and he gains himself a smile. "Yeah, it could happen. If I stop buying people with alcohol, anyone left standing can have the honours."

[affectioning]

"Hey, if I could have the honors - or, I was old enough, I'd totally step up." He gives a reassuring smile.

[bettercallit]

"The important thing here is that you're not old enough," he chuckles, soft and quiet, but amused, and a little fond. "Appreciate it, though, I'd be a lucky guy."

[affectioning]

"I'm this close to eighteen," he hokes back. "Hey, I'd be lucky. Someone would double cross me and then you'd take them out," he adds under his breath with eyebrows up. "But, don't do that."

[bettercallit]

"Not gonna lie, you'd definitely pass as older." He winks, because, well, there's no harm, right? "No one'd get close enough, kid, I'd make sure of it."

[affectioning]

"You missed older me, then." He's not kidding, though. "Last weekend." Funny he says that.

He looks sheepish, because that's something he would have loved to have seen, but he was busy having a pity party. "Is there picture evidence? Be happy to settle with video footage."

[affectioning]

"Look back on the network... I uh - I was 40...something."

[bettercallit]

"This is gonna be one of those lessons where I learn hiding away from the world means missing out on the best things."

He's got his device out, right there, sifting back through the archives and hoping everything is still there.

[affectioning]

He shrugs, as he looks down at Clint's device. As Clint scrolls, he remembers what he'd seen. He'd definitely hit on Kirk at some point which was - hey, it's Captain Kirk? Finally, Clint finds his broadcast.

"That's it. That's me."

Clint pokes around the feeds, eyes opening a little wider the longer he watches from the archives, squinting at the image, up at Scott, and then back down again.

"It's a good thing I missed this," he smirks, lop-sided, as he pokes around further. "Not sure I would've been able to resist the temptation." He tinkers around a moment longer, taking note of where it's stored to find it again later to better look through, and then tucks away his device. "You grow up well."

[affectioning]

"Thanks..." he says, thinking that this is borderline wrong if only because he's a teenager. But, then he smiles to himself because that is actually a very nice compliment. His smile widens as he looks away. "Next time." Also weird to say.

[bettercallit]

"Planning ahead for a repeat performance?" But knowing the City, it's not exactly out of the question. As far as preying on those in vulnerable positions considering the circumstances, he knows he crosses lines he should reel in, but an ego boost never hurts anyone. Right? "If it helps, not long after I got here, there was a curse that got me. Had everyone reverting back to high school age. Graduation week. Should've known something was up since I never finished the first time around."

[affectioning]

"Without actual planning? I wouldn't be surprised if I came back. Other me," he says. "Maybe he'll remember to ask for Clint." But, he probably would. Scott would remember Clint, young or not. He really respects Clint. Ego boosts are the best and it doesn't feel like reeling in or anything of the sort. "It helps." He says. "I hope I see it next time. I'm curious about high school you."

"Be keeping an eye out for the guy." He shakes his head, a soft chuckle escaping him; he really doesn't know what their lives are sometimes that this is an actual topic of discussion. "Yeah? He was a lot more fun or so I'm told."

[affectioning]

"Cool."

They're insane. Their lives are insane. And borderline inappropriate. But, this place does away with laws and things like that. Stiles is sort of dating Derek. That'd just be - well, it's still weird and sure, illegal.

"He's been here before?" Cool. "I'll help if I run into high school you." He's a helpful teenager.

Scott should leak information to him sometime, or so Clint wishes, because he's got so many suspicions and no way of finding out for sure without taking extreme measures.

"Appreciate that. But you should probably be cautious, I wasn't as good at pretending to trust people on sight as I am now."

[affectioning]

Look at this face, Clint?

"I think I'll be able to win you over."

He does look at that face and huffs a hopeless laugh.

"Yeah, I think if anyone's got a chance, it's definitely you."
