Sometimes Allison is still surprised by how many layers Lydia actually has. She still remembers when she thought she was just dealing with the popular girl who was dating the captain of the lacrosse team. It makes her all the more grateful for their friendship now, because Lydia's confident and smart and definitely knows what she wants, and she's got a different kind of strength that Allison secretly hopes to emulate.
