Well, some nights I wish that this all would end, 'cause I could use some friends for a change.
When; Late night the 29th and through the day on the 30th September
Rating; PG-13?
Characters; Jace, Clary, and anyone who happens to wander across him/them
Summary; He knows of carnivals, he's even run through one on occasion, but he's never purposely gone to enjoy one.
Log;
[ A: 29th September ]
It's late when Jace enters the carnival, walking casually through with his hands stuffed into the pockets of his jacket like he does this all the time, and even though his favourite blades are missing from his back, he's still got some tucked away beneath the layers of clothing he's got on; he doesn't plan on taking any chances, though, especially since the last time he passed through somewhere like this was when he was chasing down a demon who used the noise and motion of the crowds to its advantage. And, besides, he's mainly here to see for himself what all the fuss is about, and to ensure that there's no dangers lurking around the corner biding time before sneaking up on the City.
He doesn't initially plan on staying, though, sticking to the paths as he follows them around, occasionally making faces at some of the food on offer, because surely it can't be healthy, and most of it doesn't hold any appeal to him in the least. Still, if he happens across anyone he knows, he could be persuaded to let loose a little and enjoy himself.
[ B: 30th September ]
After a long debate with himself the previous night, and coming to the conclusion that the carnival isn't some kind of trap for the people of the City, Jace decides it's not so bad, and arranges to meet up with Clary by the entrance. If he's going to truly experience the mundane world as it comes to him here, he wants to do it with her at his side, to create and share the memories with her, even if things aren't quite the way he hoped they would be. But he misses her, her company, her companionship, and the one real connection he has to their world.
He got here early, gaining cautious looks from others that pass through, as he paces around the entrance, perching on whatever's available before growing restless and jumping back up again. He doesn't know whether or not she'll show up for certain, but he hopes, and whatever happens, he plans to deal with it better than he has been doing so far.

A
For now she's just wandering around, people watching mainly, enjoying the midway and strengthening her resolve not to pig out on an elephant ear covered in powdered sugar.
Out of the corner of her eye she spots a face that she thinks she recognizes and on instinct begins to follow.

He catches a full glimpse of her in the window of a food van and smirks to himself.
Turning a corner, he sticks close to a group as they pass by, and then he turns back to wait for her to make the distance.

When she finally makes it to the food van, she frowns. Lost him, dammit.
At least there's elephant ears.
no subject
"Guess who."

She doesn't seem to have a problem with purchasing the elephant ear smothered in cinnamon sugar, either. Liberated girl, and all. Tearing off a hunk, she offers it to him. She doesn't hand it over though; instead she holds it up to his mouth.
b obviously jace get down from there.
Whens he spots Jace though, her smile springs to life and she rolls her eyes. "There's no stopping you, is there?"
no subject
"It's as if you know me." But he can't wipe the grin away. "You look - well, like you've riffled through some of Izzy's better clothes, but it's a good look you."

"She'd think all of her hard work had gone to waste if she could see me usually here, right?"
no subject
He offers out his arm, looking at her hopefully.
no subject
"That's because you haven't seen me in my jammies in a while, right?"
no subject
"I don't know, I always thought you looked cute in pyjamas, especially first thing in a morning."
no subject
She grins though and nudges him with her arm. "Or possibly blind."
