Summary: MCKIRK APARTMENT PARTY ahhhh. Please comment under the corresponding header for wherever your character is so we have a loose system! Assume the party's in full-swing when you arrive and handwave however you heard about it, the surprise all-day-long darkness mean the evening's activities just went into overdrive. Notifs are off, threadjack to your heart's content but remember to heed the post-it's in the bathroom: if you throw up, you're on clean up!

[There's no way, after the Boneys and the cannibals and all the other bullshit the City put the through, that Angela isn't about to show up tonight. She needs this party. In her mind, she'll pretend it's the birthday party she couldn't pull off this year, only no one else knows about it, but that's okay. As long as she thinks it, it shall be.

Also there's no way anybody should leave her alone around the booze because the first thing she's doing is playing bartender, mixing a drink here and a drink there for herself at first, but then snatching up a plastic juice pitcher from the boys' dishrack and then pouring in a couple (or five) liquors and some juice and coming up with a cocktail that means the taxicabs will be making a ton of cash in drunken fares tonight.

She will not be responsible for cleaning up drunk puke, by the way. Guests don't clean after sharing the joy.]

[Well, it's practically a requirement that he talks to the other people in the kitchen who're messing around with the alcohol, isn't it? And she seems to have put quite a bit of liquor in that one she's mixing in the juice pitcher. He raises an eyebrow, halfway between horrified and impressed.]

You planning on telling everyone how strong that is, or letting them find out for themselves?

[She's just finishing up adding a splash of vodka and begins stirring the dangerous concoction, watching it swirl around in circles.]

[ he's paused in the kitchen during his small tour of the house to find some grub, but instead he sees angela by the kitchen counters, pouring an insane amount of alcohol with the juice in the pitcher. the eyebrow raise that he made is almost reminiscent of mccoy's, if not for the fact that he looks more impressed than grumpy at the moment.

oh, the joys of not being able to get drunk - small mercies for john, it seems. ]

You know, there's such a thing as alcohol poisoning.

Only if you let it happen to you. [Angela pours a bit of the drink into her cup and takes a sip, pursing her lips in thought before adjusting the taste with even more booze.] Besides, if you drink too much Hell Tea, that's your fault, not mine.

[Now she's pouring him a cup of said "tea", only halfway because she does at least like him enough to keep his liver in one piece.]

[Well of course Lydia's in the VIP Zone, ie the kitchen. Presumably as promised, Kirk has bought her a bevy of exotic alcohols with which Lydia can get her experimental chemist action on. Once she spots someone approaching, she turns and offers her first experiment of the night: it's pink and sweet, a mix of blood orange liqueur, peach schnapps, and lemon lime soda garnished with a few maraschino cherries.]

Care to give it a try?

[ he's more than okay with experimentation with drinks - god knows that whatever concoctions his team members back home managed to whip up themselves are probably high up there in the list of worst possible things that he could ever put in his mouth, so whatever anyone in the room has got going on, he knows he wouldn't ever be as bad. ]

Safe is relative. Alcohol is technically a poison, of course. I could make something else for you, if you like.

[If he does try the pink drink, he'll find it predictably sweet and fruity.]

[ the woman who wanders into the kitchen likely doesn't look anything like someone who happens to be the highest ranking starfleet officer present in the city, but there's a phaser hidden somewhere on her person that says otherwise. and although she's here in part for pleasure, to just relax and be a person for once enjoy the party, she's also here in a more official capacity. and frustrated with kirk for authorizing a violation of the prime directive, unaware that chekov did so of his own accord and his captain's merely covering for the young ensign. ]

That depends on what's in it.

[Lydia mms, swirling the cup a little so the pinkish liquid creates a little funnel.] Blood orange liqueur, peach schapps, lemon-lime soda and a dash of maraschino cherry juice. If sweet's not your thing, I can come up with something else.

NECKING THE PINK THING and wow, eugh, he pulls a face a moment later, laughing as he rubs his nose. ]

Oh, what is in that?

It's peachy looking, a little fizzy and it has cherries in it. Of course I want to give it a try. [ She leans in to get the drink and presses a kiss to Lydia's cheek.

She might've had a drink or two before hand. ]

[This is the third party he's been to in as many weeks. He's really starting to question what's gotten into him lately. Of course, that didn't stop him from showing up, nor did it stop him from bringing a rather impressive haul of alcohol -- taken from the casino, of course; what good is having your own business if you can't steal alcohol from it? -- and spending time in the kitchen mixing drinks. That's a lot easier than partying, and it has the added benefit of giving him the chance to talk to everyone who wants something to drink.

At least he's a decent bartender and a decent conversationalist. Anyone who comes into the kitchen will immediately be offered a drink. And they're strong drinks. Watch out.]

[She's just been...awkwardly hanging out. Nursing a drink. Typical awkward party behavior. Though seeing Meyer makes her relax a bit, and she grins]

[ all that alcohol. meyer, you're a wonderful soul. strong drinks are right up bones' alley, so they're going to get along just fine. ]

I'm guessin' you're the one to thank for the sudden influx of alcoholic beverages.

[Chekov is actually looking for water, believe it or not. But he knows Meyer, and it's only polite to say hello to people you know, especially when you've picked a stupid fight with them in the recent past.]

[After the insanity that was the last month, Anya could really use a chance to relax and not worry about zombies or cannibals or whatever else the City is throwing.

Plus, she's never been to a party before. Or at least not one she can remember, anyway.
Add in the chance for drinks and food, and she's in. She doesn't really know that many people, though, so...hanging out in the kitchen, it is!]

[ Siiidling over to her in the kitchen, Jim leans against the counter where he sips his drink, blue eyes warming to her. ]

Hi! Jim Kirk. We haven't met, have we?

[Alcohol. Dean is so there. He's brought some beer, some whiskey and a bottle of tequila, but that last one is just for Kirk. He's popped off a beer cap and is taking a deep swig. He's not dressed to kill, but he is dressed up for him: black, short-sleeved t-shirt, black jeans, a pair of brown leather cowboy boots and his brown leather jacket. The boots are new-ish, bought here. The jacket is an old, worn friend. He had a shower before he left his place and his short hair is still a bit damp.]

Of course Stiles has checked the network a lot, obsessively in fact. Maybe he never connected the two, maybe he was just busy with the monsters. But seeing him now is so weird and maybe he goes a little bug eyed before walking into the open fridge door. ]

[ It's his twin! Kind of. Jim heads over and claps him on the back, beaming a friendly smile. ]

You made good on your promise, huh? Jesus, this haul's great. Thanks a lot, man.
