through the study of the palm;

When; Saturday, 16th of November
Rating; PG for flirting - will edit if it should, unexpectedly, go up.
Characters; Marguerite Gautier ([personal profile] luxuryflower) and Leonard McCoy ([personal profile] medicos)
Summary; Cursed for the weekend, Marguerite and McCoy find themselves in Hogsmeade and, mostly accidentally, meet in the Three Broomsticks. For a drink. And to engage in a little social activity called flirting.
Log;

With the shop closed, most of the Hogwarts students returned to the school premises and the day's turnover reflecting that it's drawing closer to Christmas, Marguerite decides that she must surely be allowed a drink. To celebrate at least a handful - oh, and she can be witty, too! - of bright futures read in the palms of young girls who wish nothing more than to hear of handsome boyfriends and good grades in the year to come. And to celebrate, even more so, the profit such predictions make her.

Entering the Three Broomsticks, her cloak billowing in the gust of wind following her inside, she heads straight for the bar. Her order of a red currant rum served while she seats herself at the nearest free table - the only one left. It is obviously a busy night at the Inn, people she knows from town having gathered, along with strangers visiting. Marguerite thrives in this weekend atmosphere, never knowing whom she might meet. Be it an old friend or a new acquaintance, both shall serve for entertainment on quite equal terms.

McCoy visits the school every few months or so because his best friend is still a seventh-year Gryffindor and demands to meet him every time the school opens his gates for excursions outside. Not that he minds. Being a healer as its harders months and now and again he needs a break from the colossal fuckfest going on around him when someone doesn't do their magic properly and ends up in his care. The Three Broomsticks have always been his favorite way the pass the time while he's around for a few days. He flirts badly with the bartender, gets his drink, and leaves. Not bad for busy weekends, though.

Today, the Inn is packed because the students are up and about, although they're slowly trudging away now that their curfew's about to be implemented in a couple of hours. Jim has just said goodbye to him in a last ditch effort to finally learn Miss Uhura first name ( he's going to fail, McCoy knows ), so McCoy goes straight to the bar and orders a tall drink and goes off to find a place for him to sit on in such a crowded area.

He finds one, but it's not necessarily an empty spot. Still, he hopes that the beautiful woman sitting on one of the chairs won't mind.

"D'you mind if I sit here, ma'am?"
