Summary; Hermione comes over and talks with Tonks.
Log;
Though Tonks couldn’t call it a mess, her apartment wasn’t yet at the level of cleanliness needed to entertain guests, and so she scurried around her apartment, sweeping things under the rug. The magazines, trinkets and other detritus where thrown in a slapdash fashion into the closet, while the random articles of clothing acquired where stuffed into her dresser. When that was filled, she feared they would soon be kicked under her bed. It wasn’t really her fault she had so much stuff, she reasoned, it was just too easy to get things here.
Rushing back to the kitchen, she shoved Baldwin, her cat, off of the table before setting it. The pseudo-china plates she had purchased in her time here where placed meticulously on the table, over top of low-quality (but shiny) place mats. Her cat stared up at her indignantly, angered at coming second to plates and utensils.
“It’s bad manners to sit on tables,” she said to it. In recent days she had come into the habit of talking to the creature, a practice no doubt born of her own loneliness.
The cat, of course, answered none at all, and simply walked out of Tonks’ view. Tonks huffed, poured the tea, and wandered over to the mirror. What was Hermione’s favorite color? After some experimentation, Tonks realized that she could not remember, and left her hair streaked red and gold, Gryffindor colors.
She started towards the kitchen again, before falling on her face. Closer inspection revealed she had tripped (yet again) over Baldwin.
“You have a revenge streak, don’t ya?”

Hermione wasn't exactly sure what to do, eyeing the mess around the apartment, but also gazing worriedly at Tonks' expression, which seemed rather fragile despite the appearance of exuberance. What was going on? How was she feeling? It was dangerous territory; Hermione didn't want to pry so far that the pressure would be overwhelming for the older witch, but she didn't want to leave it unattended either.
It was always hard when the solutions couldn't be found in books.
Nevertheless, Hermione decided that for now, she'd let it rest while she decided on a proper plan of action.
"Need help?"
