Summary; The girls of the Welcome Center are sad. Time for a movie night!
Log; [Korra's not entirely sure how she ended up at the Welcome Center after "hours", a pile of action movies in her arms. Penny had seemed sad, Yin had been gloomier than usual, and Korra herself... Korra doesn't know what she's thinking or feeling. Her breakdown a few days ago forced her to confront some unpleasant thoughts, but then Hei had talked to her and held her and she couldn't tell anymore whether those thoughts were truth or pessimism.

Don’t think about it, she tells herself. Tonight is about cheering up Penny, and maybe Yin too if that's even possible. She checks around the Center to see if the other women have arrived yet.]

[Of course Penny is there. She never leaves. She lives there. And she greets Korra with the kind of smile that would convince just about anyone that all is well with the world and she didn't start sobbing incoherently on the thirteenth. (There wasn't time for incoherent sobbing on the fourteenth. Visitors to prepare for, all of that.)]

Hey, Korra! What movies did you end up bringing?

[Yin was already there, clearly confused. She had been assigned to get "comfort food," but she didn't know exactly what that was. After consulting the network and doing a little research she showed up with a lot of different chocolate bars, some bonbons, a huge bag of chips, a jar of marshmallow fluff, a bag of marshmallows, some graham crackers, and a bunch of random sugary, fluffy, or creamy things.]

[That should do it, right?]

[She, as always, says nothing to Korra's entrance, but does look in Korra's direction. It's nearly a greeting from her.]

[alittlebent]

[Korra waves at Yin.]

Uh, a bunch. I just grabbed anything that looked interesting. Tai Chi Zero, Diehard, Way of the Dragon, Sorcerer and the White Snake....and a bunch of others. So where are we setting up?

[Yin has done well for someone who doesn't grasp the concept of 'comfort food.']

Those [definitely aren't chick flicks, but Korra doesn't seem like the chick flick type] sound good! C'mon, the TV's upstairs.

[Penny heads up the narrow set of stairs in back that lead to her loft apartment. It's small and in need of better insulation, but the walls are painted with bright colors and there are plenty of well-loved rugs and pillows and beanbag chairs and blankets.

There are two medium-sized dogs, too. They will be delighted to have company, but they will be well-mannered enough to not jump all over Korra and Yin... until they sit down. Anyone on the floor is fair game.]

[Korra gets a tentative return wave, and Yin follows them upstairs holding to her bag(s) of comfort food. She hated to leave Mao like this, so talked to him before and left him with a can of tuna - cat's comfort food.]

[Yin's never heard of any of the mentioned movies, for the obvious reason of she's not watched many movies for many reasons. She watches the dogs curiously, more accustomed to cats. Finally, twisting around their curious sniffs, she lifts the bag and finally speaks.]

Where should I put these?

[alittlebent]

[Korra tosses the dvds aside and kneels down to play with the dogs. Animals >>>> movies, even kinda awesome looking action movies.]

[The dogs are curious about Yin, too--or maybe they're just interested in the food she's carrying. Their interest is diverted when Korra kneels. Tumbles and Sam both gallop over to her and start headbutting her for affection.

Meanwhile, Penny will take that comfort food.]

Oh! Here, I can take all of that. There's not a lot of counterspace in the kitchen, so, you know... it's kind of a balancing act, putting anything out.

[Yin's eyes are turned in Penny's direction as she takes the bags. Once their weight is gone, she turns to Korra and the dogs, but doesn't kneel or sit. She hasn't been invited to do anything of the sort. Not that Yin would know what to do if she was bombarded with dogs, either.]

[alittlebent]

[Korra looks up at Yin.]

Why don't you sit down?
