It was almost time for the both of them to arrive. He should have asked them to come earlier. Though Cain has spent most of the day keeping himself amused by bantering with his neighbors, he grew bored of facing the screen before long. Though it affectively kept him busy, Cain is not the sort who liked sitting still for a long period of time. Especially since this world is working in his favor. Instead for just a mere few hours, his form could easily retain itself for two, three days.

He plopped himself onto the uncomfortable furniture and waited.

Isaak bowed courtly and then straightened his position. It was odd to not smoke but he had quit his cigars on Caterina’s presence. He always felt like lighting one around Cain. “She’s finishing alone, Mein Herr,” explained Isaak, amused. “A lady’s prerogative.”

He sensed the door opening before Caterina announced her very presence but he pretended to only react to her voice. He glanced at her quickly for mere curiosity to avoid any lecherous misunderstanding. The black ribbons suited her.

“Kitchen is over there,” he motioned to his right. “You will have the domain of it by yourself, Duchess. I purchased all the supplies you requested as well.” He grinned, shamelessly. “Good luck in your task, Eisendame.”

“I see,” Cain replied absently, returning his attention to journal. This was taking a little too long for his liking and he was already famished. He knew he should not have skipped lunch in the afternoon, but after what Sunny discussed with him, his appetite has fled. The musical itself was not as troubling as to the fact that humans were being used as pie filling.

The next time he looked up was when Cardinal Sforza, now Eisendame announced her presence to them. The blonde gave her a brief inspection, his grin growing wider as he sensed that the other was uncomfortable. After all, he purposely picked out the said garments to make her feel uncomfortable. “The clothing suits you, do you not agree, Isaak? Black definitely brings out your best side.”
