Summary; Continuing from this post, Cain decided that the best way for Caterina to show her loyalty is to cook them both dinner.

It was almost time for the both of them to arrive. He should have asked them to come earlier. Though Cain has spent most of the day keeping himself amused by bantering with his neighbors, he grew bored of facing the screen before long. Though it affectively kept him busy, Cain is not the sort who liked sitting still for a long period of time. Especially since this world is working in his favor. Instead for just a mere few hours, his form could easily retain itself for two, three days.

He plopped himself onto the uncomfortable furniture and waited.

“Oh, indeed?” Kämpfer asked, feigning a mild surprise as he finished to pour the tea and remained standing near Cain in case he needed something. “My Lord, may I inquire which was the final verdict?”

He glanced to Caterina’s direction briefly, noticing some distraction in her features. Kämpfer assumed the Duchess found Mein Herr resemblance to Nightroad disturbing to say at least.

Cain did not even raise an eyebrow at Isaak’s feigned reaction. The magician has his own agenda and the blond did give his word that the other was allowed to handle it. “I decided that she is worthy of the same position as Basilisk. What do you think, Isaak?” There was an unspoken word in his tone that should Caterina failed to prove herself, her rank would be lowered.

Immediately after that, Cain bounced up from his chair, making a beeline for the crackers and tea, diffusing whatever tension that was there. “You know exactly what I like Isaak,” he said cheerfully, taking the bowl of crackers, “Of course, Isaak will show you out.”

“Before I forget. Welcome to RosenKreuz Orden once again. I will be looking forward to your performance, Eisendame.” The blond man said, giving her a smile.

Caterina bowed her head to Cain, "Thank you, Mein Herr. I do hope I will prove more than an asset to you." Then half smiled apologetically at the kreznik, "If I may borrow Panzer Magier for a moment. . I need to change before my exit."

After she was changed, she exited and left the two in Cain's apartment before returning, exhausted, to her own.
