Log; Complete
When; Feb 3, Nighttime
Rating; PG For Anti-cityangst and a Sushifight
Characters; Zaheela [
henkonasuisho]; Greed [
so_very_greedy]
Summary; Zaheela agreed to a date with greed, if only because he had said the magic words.
Log;
She was early, Zaheela knew this, but she wasn't one to be late if she could avoid it. She supposed the last time she had been late was when she was caught in fighting off the majority of Ghelsba Outpost, barehanded, only because some new recruits had thought it funny to moon the warchief of the area. She had only been scouting when they came scrambling down, screaming for help. Too bad for the orcs she was already in a bad mood.
However, there were no orcs to utterly humiliate here, so all her anger and frustration had stewed and simmered under the surface. Eventually she would of had to visit the forest where she heard monsters roamed, but for now, she decided to take a more sinful route. She agreed to go on a date with Greed, for some strange reason, and he had offered fish. If anything, she could not resist the lure that was sushi. No Mithra in their right mind could. The rawer, fresher, and least dead, the better, but it was proper manners to kill off your food before eating it anyways, so sushi would do.
Zaheela groaned as she leaned against the fountain, her thin shirt little protection from the winds. Inwardly she cursed her lack of heavier clothing, but it was too late to regret that now. She had a few lakes to demolish.

"Sup', babe? Gotta' say, ya' look awesome like this," Greed said, presenting a bouquet to her, "You ready to go?"
no subject
She smiled brightly, the first time she had honestly in a few days. She supposed she needed this. Taking the bouquet, she smirked as she realized their meaning, though the tulips were rather lovely.
"Perfect lover eh? So I take it that you're interested in adding me to your collection?" She teased, her tail happily curling upwards.
no subject
He bent on one kneed and gently grasped her hand, then kissed it's top.
"And how about you, my fine, felinoid female? You've had a trying few days, eh? Don't you worry, I'm gonna' do the best I can to help ya' have a good time. I know just the place, right on the edge of the underground. No monsters or crime in the area."
no subject
"Fish would do me good. I don't really think that my last few days were anything but horrid for my health." She groaned, her tail twitching as she stood straight and removed her hand from his grasp, brushing off the seat of her pants. "How fresh are their fish anyways?"
no subject
He held out his arm and pointed forward through the city.
"Pretty good stuff. We're gonna' head this way, then just take a little side-trip to hit the underground."
no subject
"Good. I can't wait to see how is it." She purred, ignoring the stares from the people around her. Perhaps the sight was a tad odd, but right now, she didn't care.
"And greed? Thanks a lot. I think I really need this." Zaheela gave Greed her sincerest smile before letting him lead the way.
no subject
"Bingo! In here!"
Greed led her in, where the hostess greeted them and led them to a privately curtained booth. Soy sauce and menus were put down in front of them, along with some fresh, warm handtowels.
no subject
Taking the Menu in hand, she considered her choices, only because she didn't feel like robbing Greed blind. Any fish, other then haddock, she would inhale. Hopefully, he wasn't one to mind fighting over pieces of food.
"Mmmm, want to start off light with a dragon boat?" She asked, wiping her hands with one of the towels.
no subject
After the young, fresh-faced woman arrived, he began to rattle off orders.
"We're gonna' need 3 dragon boats. I also want 7 bottles of hot sake and an order of dragon roll, volcano roll, dynamite roll, half-baked roll, tsunami roll, california roll, deep tide roll...Ah hell, gimme one of every roll on the menu. Wouldn't mind some yakiniku, too."
no subject
"Also, I'd like to add the order of the following Sashimi; Saki, Unagi, tamago, the Nigiri-zushi of the previously stated, and a bowl of Shrimp udon, and perhaps your best green tea. If you can also handle it, I would also like my own serving of Sake, cold however." She requested, ignoring the woman's gasps and doe like eyes before waving her away and leaning against the table.
"So, I take it you enjoy such delicacies as well?" She questioned, tail sweeping back and forth behind her.
no subject
He was momentarily amused by her swishing tail, then focused back on her eyes.
"Damned if I know what any of the words on this list mean, but I know that I like the taste of most of it."
no subject
"How strange." She said, her ears twitching once in a while to catch the sounds of the now stressed sushi bar staff. "In my world, the most similar is the country of Windurst, where my kind and a race of child like beings live. They were very in touch with nature." Her tail stopped to curl around her thigh.
She picked up one of his decanters of hot sake and offered to pour some into his dish.

"Sounds like you guys have a lot of different sentient species. My world has only humans. There's us too, but we don't really qualify as a species. We're more like an artifically induced aberration. Homunculi don't exist unless humans are doin' somethin' they shouldn't. We're just based on humans."
no subject
"There are many races in my world, sentient anyways. Elvaan, very tall people who look like elves, live in the Kingdom of San d'Oria for the most part. The mithra, best example seen here, and tarutaru live in Windurst. Galkas and Humes live in bastok and then there are the 'beastmen' races. Orcs, Sahagins, Quadavs, Yagudo, Antican, as well as the Mamook Ja, Trolls, Lamina. But all that means is that we're also fighting a lot." She groaned, before taking another sip of her tea.
Her ear twitched as she heard the chef swear rather colorfully.
"My, he has a rather wide vocabulary."
no subject
He peeked outside the curtain and spotted their boats arriving. With a small giggle, he pulled his head back inside and fidgeted in his seat.
"It's here! It's here! It's here!" he laughed to himself, practically salivating as the boats were placed down on the table, eclipsing most of it."

Greed snatched dup several pieces of salmon and eel, popping 6 into his mouth. He chewed them happily and took a swig from his sake, then "dropped" his chopsticks.
"Oops! Stupid me! I'll just get those back."
He went under the table to pick up the sticks, taking a slight detour to check out her legs for a moment, then sat up again.
no subject
Her eyes glimmered impishly as she bit into it, as if declaring her resolve to snatch food right from under him.
no subject
"Ha ha! Beat that!" he said, pulling over the last boat.
no subject
She let out a rumbling purr. Too bad Mithra were known for their dexterity.
no subject
"Who will get more, I wonder?"
no subject
no subject
"You're on babe. But let's wait till ALL the food gets here."
no subject
no subject
"Ah ha!" he exclaimed, clashing his chopsticks against hers on the plate, "Time to step it up!"
no subject
"Indeed! Eat my wooden dust!" She announced, almost wanting to giggle, but she was in the middle of a food war, giggling would have to wait.
no subject
He continued with the barrage of counters and parries, trying his damnedest to get the upper hand. On the other hand, he really wanted that sake in the corner...
no subject
"Last piece!" She announced.
no subject
"Ah ha!" he said, stabbing upwards for the piece, "Lucky chance!"
no subject
"Lucky my tail!" She growled as her chopsticks snapped for the roll, her whole body launching forward to nab the piece.
no subject
"Miiiiiiiine!"
Hers chopsticks closed around the sushi, unfortunately Greed's mouth closed around the chopsticks, effectively severing them. He fell back to his seat, his tongue rolling out to deposit the roll on his plate.
"Oh yeah! I'm the man!"
no subject
Then she realized that there was no way to tell who had won, due to the fact that his 'earthquake' had sent all the sushi to the floor. She took a chance and glanced at the manager.
That had to be a new shade of red.
no subject
He peeked his head up for a moment and looked around.
"Anyone else want this?"
no subject
First there was a bit of Green, then white, then Blotchy red, then Purple on the manager's face. So intent on watching the manager, she forgot this was Greed she was dealing with. Her tail twitched nervously as she continued to eat peacefully (for now).
no subject
"How much do I owe ya', pal?" he grinned. The manager talked/yelled with him for several moments, until Greed managed to placate him with a large roll full of currency.
"So," he said to Zaheela, "About done?"
no subject
She only managed to get 3 steps out the door before the giggles set in. Unfortunately the giggles had evolved into full blown laughs and she kneeled over, laughing her delight. She was now grateful that she had accepted Greed's invitation. She really needed this. Her laughter echoed through the alleyways, seemingly making the air around them lighter. If you believed in such things anyways.
no subject
"Glad to see you're havin' a good time," he said as he walked over to offer his hand to her, "Now ya' ready to head back?"
no subject
"Yeah, I've got to find a private hot spring to finish off the night on a good note." She chirped, taking the offered hand and letting him help her stand up straight.
"You know, I never got to enjoy my sake." She said offhandedly before letting go of his hand and skipping ahead of Greed. She turned mid bound and smiled.
"Thanks a ton Greed. I really needed this."
