Summary; Dean's having a birthday. Sam doesn't care what he thinks.

After the prank he'd pulled earlier, Sam thought Dean might need a break. He also thought it might be prudent not to be home when Dean got there. So Sam staked out a favorite bar of Dean's, called some of his friends, and left a note.

Dean--

Hey, didn't feel like cooking so I went out. Meet me at [some bar, come on Dean, it's your favorite! they have tater tots], okay? I have something to tell you. Sam

There was a chance Dean wouldn't come, but it was a bar, and the house would be quiet and lonely, and Sam was pretty sure he'd come. In the meantime, he savored the thought of the day Dean must have had...

At some point in the evening, Dean heads over to Dulcie. He holds out his arms to give her a hug. He likes his hugs from her, okay?

"Glad you could make it."

[dulcisnuntius]

Dulcie goes for the running to leap get her arms up and around his shoulders. It's the best kind of hug there is. She leans back to grin at him as she speaks.

"Like I was going to miss this."

[dudeimbatman]

See this is why he likes hugging Dulcie. She goes whole hog on the hugging thing. He leans in and kisses her cheek.

"Good. I would have missed you."

[dulcisnuntius]

"Well obviously. You got a drink yet?"

She giggles and doesn't let go just yet. He's cozy.

[dudeimbatman]

"Was just going to order another beer. You want one?"

He's okay with this. He'll keep his hand at the small of her back until she decides to let go.

[dulcisnuntius]

"Sure thing!"

She swings around to face the bar, her free arm slipping to hug him around the waist.

[dudeimbatman]

He orders two beers and passes one to Dulcie.

"So what've you been up to today besides grabbing my ass and coming to my parties?"

[dulcisnuntius]

"And being five?" she gives him another smile before she takes her first sip of beer, "Staying out of trouble, mostly. How about you?"

[dudeimbatman]

"Yeah me too. Lots of work and staying out of trouble."

It's actually true for the moment.

[dulcisnuntius]

"Hopefully that's not in the schedule for tonight. Birthdays are perfect getting into trouble time because you have the perfect excuse to get out of it."

[dudeimbatman]

"Work's definitely not and it depends on what kind of trouble you're talking about."

There's a wink there. There's some kinds of trouble he wouldn't mind getting into.
