Summary; Simca’s on a mission to give Auel his first kiss. ♥
Log;

Auel happened to live in the same building, so unfortunately, Simca had no need to use her ATs to get there. Instead, she slipped on a pair of simple boots and walked, for once. This was sure to be amusing. Auel really was quite the little brat, but as she had informed him, Simca seemed to have a soft spot for unfriendly people. Perhaps it went back to the old “opposites attract” idea. Maybe she, being one of the friendliest people she knew, liked to balance things out with by spending time with grumpy people. Or maybe she was just a bit of a masochist.

For whatever reason, Auel and his insulting, sarcastic personality amused her. She was confident that this first kiss wouldn’t end with her being mocked about how terrible it was. She had had plenty of practice, after all.

Stopping in front of the door of apartment #8, Simca knocked gently and then crossed her arms over her chest, waiting patiently for her “Smurf” to answer the door.

Auel pulled his gaze away from the blaring screen of the television in front of him, eyebrows raised. Who the hell could it be? Sting had left early in the morning, muttering something about checking on Chaos and exploring- Auel found no reason to pay attention really, not when he had a full plate of pancakes soaked in maple syrup to deal with -and Stellar was out with that crybaby zaftie. Don't tell me the psycho actually decided to bring the Red Coat home - the stench dammit!

Scowling darkly, he slipped off the couch and threw open the door, ready to throw forth an insult of some sort-- "Oh." He blinked at the sight Simca standing before him, a bemused smile on her face as though she had expected such a welcome. "You actually came huh."

Snorting, Auel jerked his head towards the living room. "Well how long do you plan to stay out there idiot, c'mon in."

Che, some lady. Auel had never met a girl as infuriating as she was; hell, he had never interacted with any girl other than Stellar and Stellar was a straight path for understanding. Simca though... he could hardly read what exactly she wanted with him and did she just parrot his words right back at him?

Slamming the door shut, Auel attempted a fierce glare at the pink-haired girl, hardly realising that the expression resulted in nothing more than a delinquent teenager pouting after having his gum confiscated. "I'm not taking orders from you PWGR, not in my apartment," he snapped, even as he dropped down on the seat beside her anyway, before adding with the maturity of a twelve-year-old, "And I'm sitting down only 'cause this is my couch."

There followed a brief pause, gunshots from the television filling the silence. "So you want soda?" the pilot asked casually, as though the last few minutes of tension never happened.

Auel barely noticed the closed distance between them as he sank back down onto the couch, his initial instinct to smack her hands off- hey, no one touched Auel Neider without explicit permission -blanketed by the confusion written clearly across his features. Okay, so the way she reacted to his attitude was kind of like Stellar, but this part was definitely not like Stellar. Hell, he couldn't even place what that odd tone in her voice was.

"Yeah, the kiss right?" he said with his head cocked to the side, frowning at Simca."But couldn't it wait till after the soda?"

Okay, this was getting kind of uncomfortable.

Holding in the urge to flinch when Simca leaned in and captured his chin with fingers light as the gentle brush of a butterfly's wing, Auel had the feeling that their positions might have been supposed to be reversed. At least, that was how it always was on television wasn't it? The guy sexually harrassing the girl in a mini-skirt instead of the other way around?

The minute he caught sight of the challenging look she flashed at him, all thoughts of gender roles flew from his mind, pride flaring instantly. Right, this was a battle, a battle to decide whether he got to mock her for this stupid kiss later or not - positions didn't matter at all.

"I'm always ready," he told her, his voice oozing with confidence.

Auel stared at Simca, driven completely speechless. He had stubbornly kept his eyes open when he first felt her lips pressing lightly against his, seeing that as some of form challenge on its own, only to have them widen with surprise and then, then...

No, he hadn't expected tongue. Nor did he expect that teasing little - what was that, a lick?

Upon hearing her curious monosyllabic question that tinged with mild amusement, the pilot opened his mouth. "That..." He stopped, pouting at the drop in pitch his voice had taken, before he cleared his throat and tried again. "That sucked."

Yeah. Yeah, that told her.

"I didn't like it! I--" Protest cut short by a brush on his lower lip, Auel jerked away from Simca's touch, a light blush- though not light enough for the naked eye to miss -spreading across his cheeks.

"Everyone has soft lips!" he retorted half-heartedly, aware that it wouldn't have much of an effect on the frustrating girl sitting in front of him.

Damn it, this wasn't how it was supposed to go. They were supposed to break off from the kiss, he'd laugh and taunt her a little, and then they'd have a soda and watch the rest of the programme he was following earlier, period.

Auel's gaze fixed on the square tiles of the living room floor as he sulked, a sign that he refused point-blank to ever admit that maybe he did like that kiss, just a little.

Again!?

Auel practically reared back as though he had been coerced by a venomous snake, blush deepening further. What the hell was wrong with this girl!? Not that... he didn't want-- no, really, what the hell!?

"'cause boys don't like kissing," he shot back, a fist rubbing furiously at his cheeks in an attempt to get rid of the burning sensation he felt on the surface. "We like manly stuff like, like mobile suits and-" he jabbed a finger at the bloody scene playing on television "-shooting and killing!"

Auel remained in that pose for a few minutes under Simca's scrutiny, before he finally snapped, nervousness concealed behind the impatience. "What? What's with that look?"

Auel had unconsciously tipped forward towards Simca to catch the words she had mumbled under her breath, leaving him completely open for the sudden move.

"Mmm-!?" he managed when he felt soft lips against his for the second time, his entire body tensing up in shock.

Wait, his mind rationalised, what just happened? Did she just- oh no she didn't-!!

"......"

Lips still tingling, Auel glared at her, ignoring the fact that his face was now beet red. The compliments she so casually gave him, something that he hardly ever heard in his entire career in the Earth Alliance, were not helping. In his mind, the same phrase revolved over and over: it sucked it sucked it sucked it sucked it sucked.....

Finally, he whipped his head to the side. "It wasn't bad," he muttered, as though those three words were the hardest things anyone had to say.

Scrubbing at his cheek to rid of the sensation still left by the kiss, Auel blocked his mind to the possibilities of what biting could have led to. If all the women in Simca's world were exactly like her, that had to be a frightening place indeed. Maybe that was why the boys there had adapted to liking this sort of thing for the sake of survival. He made a note to pay closer attention to that Ikki Babyface guy next time.

"Affection...?" The young pilot glanced up at Simca, eyebrows knitting together. "No, doesn't make me uncomfortable. Stellar hugs us all the time. Why?"

[identity profile] acid-trippin.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Auel had settled for simply sulking at the girl when she teased him. Anything he said would have been flippantly dismissed anyway - and that in itself was bewildering. Anger he was used to yes, or even Stellar's vacant little responses, but to have his words show no effect at all, that was just plain bizarre.

"Don't wanna make out," he said with a scowl, sounding far more childish than he already was. "Sounds stupid."

[identity profile] acid-trippin.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Was this annoying pink-haired girl challenging him?

Pride called forth in that very instant, Auel turned to face her, determination burning in his emerald depths. He'd just have to wipe that grin off by winning this round. "Auel Neider's not afraid of anything," he stated, practically shoving himself into Simca's personal space, his nose inches away from hers. "You're on!"

Without a moment's hesitation, he closed the gap between them, pressing his lips against Simca's in a clumsy fashion that only served to reveal his inexperience.

"Don't estimate me," Auel snorted as he puffed out his chest, satisfied with his first initiated kiss. It was stupid yeah, but a challenge was a challenge and Simca didn't exactly define it as 'disgusting' or anything, which could only mean one thing - victory.

Mood having lifted from overcoming this tiny obstacle, Auel dropped back onto the couch, arms crossed behind his head. "So we've done the kissing stuff," he said, eyes flitting over to Simca, "You want that soda now?"
