Summary: Dracula is not amused by the abrupt rerouting of his journey to England.
Log:
When the Demeter came to rest at Whitby, there was not a living soul above or below deck. Dracula had seen to that detail with ruthless efficiency. No one would know how he had come into England. No one would know that the men who had brought him had seen a monster. Perhaps, in another era, the living would have believed the fantastic tale woven in the ship's log, but the world was changing, and England's officials were inclined to approach mysteries in a pragmatic and scientific fashion. They were fools ... but their foolishness suited his endeavors.
Still, there was one more difficulty to overcome before he entered England. All members of the ship's crew had been accounted for in the log. No passengers had been listed. A survivor in the form of a man would be remarked upon and detained, but Dracula had no intention of coming ashore on two legs. Unhindered by the violence of the ship's final drive to shore, he moved above deck. He had taken the form of a large, black wolf. In the chaos of the storm, he would easily be mistaken for a dumb brute if he was seen.
The Demeter shuddered as she ran aground. Dracula leapt from the bow. His claws found purchase in the slick sand, but he skidded to a halt not two strides onto the beach and spun around.
There was no wrecked ship in his wake. The sea was calm, free of fog and gale and frothing waves. Dracula ground his teeth together in consternation as he slowly swung about. Everything was different. There was no village, no cliff, no churchyard. It was as though, in the instant he had left the deck of the Demeter, the world he had meant to enter had been swept away and replaced by another.

He was heavy, but she had a strength and reflexes above average. Integral was a Hellsing and would carry on her mission.
"Tell me if he even moves a single muscle, Alucard."
Integral Hellsing began to drag Dracula away.

Leaving the little vampire, the Major and his cat-eared boy, Vladislaus took to following both Alucard and his Master; at a decent distance, of course.
He wanted to see what this -other- Dracula looked like...

"I suggest you to listen to what Alucard says," Integral commented with rich English accent. "It could cause a paradox if you touch any of your counterparts. I'm making certain this one doesn't get destroyed by my foes."
So, the vampire was the damsel and she was the hunter in shinning armor, more or less. Integral was a noble knight, the imagery fit.

"And from whence did he come in our lifetime...I heard him denouncing 'dearest' Mina..."

"I'm not taking any chances when involves the survival of my people," pointed out Integral sharply. Alucard was hers and she was not allowing to put in peril his existence.
It was selfish, she knew, how much she could spare to others and himself if she just put him out of misery. But ... she could not think her life without him.
She lost Walter, her father, her uncle, her mother, Penwood and her men countless of times, but Alucard was her anchor.

"And no matter what I thought then, I am glad events followed as they did," He murmured from her side.
Giving a skewed look over his shoulder at Vladislaus, the vampire bared one fang in a smirk.

He glanced Alucard's way. That's what he seemed to him...a pet. A sex pet, even, since his counterpart so readily made their relatioship clear. More powerful than he, thanks to the Hellsing organization, but...commanded so readily by this woman. Vladislaus looked back at her. She was deserving, of course...there was no doubt about it there...
Still...he could never answer to her.
He looked down at the other. Did he answer to an Integral as well..? A Van Helsing?

"That is the duty of every General and leader. I would do the same for any of my subordinates. Undead or alive," Integral remarked. Alucard was precious, but she would do the same for Seras if she was in danger. "The City must be exceptionally dull that you decided to follow us."

"Correct, Alucard. I do feel as though I should see what is to become of him..." He looked again at the still Dracula she dragged. "And what he has seen of his life..."
no subject
"If you must," Integral started with a confident, business-like voice she's so used to acquire. "I could detail the process to you." The knight made a pause, then continued. "We will have him reach safely Alucard's lost domain to recover himself." She shot a glance at Alucard, knowing he would protest. "He has no means to reach his caskets here. Until we know for certain he has no connection with Alucard, he will be under observation."

"You, Alucard," the knight started, renewing her walk, feeling her shoulder stiffen already from carrying the cold weight of Dracula. "Will remain in my room, provided you understand the meaning of sleep with proper nightclothes and acquire a sense of space. That is," she made her voice more acid, "Pick a bloody side and don't roll by accident into mine."
She smirked next. "However, since our hours of sleep differ, I doubt we will be sharing the bed together." He slept through the day while she during his favorite hours of night. "Is the arrangement clear enough or should I repeat myself?"

Vladislaus smirked at the banter between them. If he knew himself...or any type of himself...there was a good chance the man would do something exactly like that..purely because she brought it up.
"Very well, Sir Integral, since you intend to keep him...may I intrude upon you for a time to watch his recovery?"
no subject
Tilting her head, Integral nodded. "As long you remember to avoid psychical contact and announcing your presence before appearing. We don't live alone. Seras Victoria, Alucard's fledgling and my subordinate shares our home. She's easy to shock. And, there is D..." Her expression softened slightly. "But he has been roaming outside for days. He would attack you if he sees you entering by ungentlemanly means."
