Summary; A discussion about Frey's gender leads to one about crossdressing and, in turn, an offer to go clothes shopping.
Log;

Akito glanced behind his shoulder at the two crocodiles that followed leisurely at his heels. It was a little strange, having large reptilians constantly around him, but the boy had quickly become used to it. He only checked them to make sure they didn't attack people (and they hadn't yet, thankfully) and were keeping pace. He didn't exactly what to leave them behind, either...

He (and they) made it to the fountain quickly enough, and Akito perched on the edge while the crocodiles slipped into the water for a quick swim. The boy sat with his legs swinging, waiting for his friend to appear, but keeping in mind that Freyjadour was no longer a boy sharing gender issue woes but a... girl.

Akito still found the City largely confusing, but at least he had friends.

“Almost everything I own is tailored, back home the most shopping I did was for supplies or runes or armor,” Frey replied as she took Akito’s hand automatically. She knew the other boy wasn’t so much younger than her but it was just instinct and somehow it was easier to be affectionate and tactile as a girl.

She glanced back at the crocodiles following Akito, odd but they seemed to have no inclination to attack any of the strangers they were passing. “Lets take a look at the vendors,” she replied brightly a few baubles catching her eye. She’d never had any interest in jewelry or the like…hopefully it was just another side effect of the curse. Just that earring that Father had given him would be quite enough, he didn’t need an excess interest in jewels and diamonds.

“You don’t have knights where you come from either, Akito?” she asked with a curious tilt of her head. Knights weren’t common, no actually they were quite a rarity. It was high honour to be a part of any knightly order but they were famous and well-known, a definite presence back home. It was strange to come here and find so many in awe of knights not because of their status but because those people were only acquainted to knights in fairytales. “A prince…but I’ll be a Queen’s Knight when I go home,” it was something that she had great pride in; not just any knight but a Queen’s Knight, not just any queen but Lymsleia. Even today she wore the armor she had donned during the war, painful as the ordeal had been that fight was now such a part of who she was she couldn’t bear to take it off and dress casually on a regular basis.

Frey couldn’t help the soft giggle that bubbled from her lips. Such a strange sound, as a boy she’d never giggle, laugh yes but there was some distinction between the two, one that she’d previously not noticed. “I guess I am a princess today. But just today,” she’d probably regret it tomorrow how in touch she was being with her feminine side but it was fairly harmless…might as well whatever made her happy today.

Frey followed Akito closely, so as to not lose him though it wouldn’t be hard to locate the other boy given the crocodiles following him. The crowds around the stalls gave the beasts a wide berth leaving an open path wherever Akito and Frey went.

“What are you looking for?” she asked curiously as they browsed the next stall, eyeing the wide array of merchandise. The City would be the City, even their vendors seemed to be a weird mishmash of what Frey had come to associate with norm to things that were puzzling just in their shape, nevermind function. Spoons, a ball of yarn that seemed to take its colour directly from a rainbow, what looked like a brick but weighed less than a sponge…a pendant that looked like a vibrant blue starburst. She picked it up, examining it in the light. It was the colour of Lyon’s eyes.

[ooc; sorry for how long that took :x I got caught up in comment spam and other plots D;]

She set the pendant back down, looking through the rest of the merchandise. “Shoes with wheels? That’s something from your world, right?” Frey tried to picture what that would look like, it was difficult to imagine. “I’m sure we can find it somewhere in this city, I’ve found things from my world here as well… I’d like to see what they look like too.”

Frey certainly didn’t see anything that looked like shoes with wheels, “Maybe the next stall?” She walked along the line of vendors. “Are those it?” she asked pointing to a pair of tattered roller-skates. They looked odd, definitely not for walking or hiking across the green plains that made up a good portion of Falena’s land.
