When; May 26, Day
Rating; PG-13
Characters; Greed[livejournal.com profile] so_very_greedy and Wordsworth[livejournal.com profile] prof_wordsworth
Summary; Greed takes Wordsworth up on an offer of pool. He also sees a perfect opportunity to create a new drinking pal.
Log;

Greed stretched fitfully as he arrived at Wordsworth's apartment. Last night had been a hell of a lot rougher than he had wanted it to be. He supposed Rangiku would be safe enough at the temple and it would do him some good to take his mind off it.

"Oi," he barked, knocking on the door, "Will, open up."

William smiled and picked up his cue stick. From the pocket of his waistcoat he brought out a coin, "Ok, tell me what a Homunculi is. But first, let's flip the coin, head's or tails?" He held out his hand, a small silver coin in his palm.

William throw the coin, it came as heads, "You get the first shot."

He stood aside and watched Greed break the ball rack. "Created using alchemy? That's extraordinary! What's your world like? It sounds so much unlike my own."

William let everything Greed was telling sink in and then nodded, "Yes, I see, my world, well I know that you've met Radu Barvon, I come from the same world as him."

William stared at the table for a moment and then made his move, green 6 pocketed.

William laughed, "Methuselah. And I agree very much about Dietrich, he is a very strange man. I've had friends who have fought him, his not very nice in a fight from the reports I've read."

He aimed for the orange ball but missed. He didn't mind though, "I rather like Radu, even though I do want to hit him over the head, but really, I don't think he'd like that." William smirked.

William sighed, "But I don't drink." He sounded like a small boy who really didn't want a pink bike for his birthday.

He thought for a moment, "How small are the shot glases?"

William couldn't really see a way out of it, "Very well."

Determined to win now, William hit yellow 9 and watched it go in, smiling, he waited for Greed to make his move.

William grinned. He hit the green ball and watched as it almost hit it's mark. With a morose look, he drank each shot and winced.

"Alright, your turn."

William blinked a few times to clear his eyesight, he hit blue 10, a dorky grin lit his face as the ball went in.

He moved around the table, studying it very carefully,"So, why were you created in the first place?" He asked.

William blinked and then nodded. He hit the brown ball and once again it went in. Cue dorky grin yet again.

"Yes, I can understand that." William thought about Tres for a moment, nothing but a killing doll till he was saved.

For a moment William thought he heard wrong but Greed's smirk proved that he hadn't. He blinked, looked at the pool table and then tried to hit a ball but things got a little blurry around the edges. He hadn't drank that much. Sighing, he leaned against the pool table and looked at Greed. So much for a fun, simple game.

"Why do you want to know?"

William felt a little sick. Oh dear.

"I have not, I've known her Eminence since she was 13!" He exclaimed.
