Log;

A child was out in the blizzard. Nanami couldn't believe it, and didn't want to let it stretch out any longer than necessary. She hurriedly threw on her coat and gloves, and grabbed the biggest blanket she could find, before she tore out of her apartment and down the stairs.

She stepped out into the storm and gasped at how painfully the snow stung her face, as compared to the pleasant tingling from the day before. Riku definitely couldn't stay out in that weather for very long, and Nanami tightened her coat around her as she waited for Daisuke.

"So Cold..." She muttered, shivering where she stood. It had only been a minute or so since she'd placed the contraption that she'd found at her feet when she arrived on the side of the fountain, and it looked strange against a background of white snow.

She cursed herself for agreeing to wear something a little more girly today. She wished she'd worn something warm. Her skirt and shirt were doing nothing to protect her from the sudden outburst of cold weather. That and the fact she was completely disorientated.

Hopping from foot to foot was only going to stop her freezing over for so long. She had to keep warm, she knew that from all the P.E lessons she'd had. That was when the howling picked up again, and she felt snow hit the back of her head, sliding instantly down the back of her shirt.

"Niwa-kun... hurry up..." She whispered, pulling her arms tighter around her small form.

Dashing down the staircase for fear of a long wait in the elevator, Daisuke made the last jump down a half a dozen stairs onto the bottom floor. Hurrying out the door to meet Nanami at the front doors, he slid at her side with his shoulders rising and falling as he caught his breath.

He closed his eyes onto to take another breath in only to wince as the freezing cold wind rushed into his lungs. Bad idea, but he tried to brush it off as if all was well. Turning towards Nanami, he realized how nasty it was outside; he could hardly see what was infront of him.

"I'm" - Pant. Pant. "Let's--Let's go!"

"Right."

Reaching up to adjust his haphazardly tied scarf around his neck, Daisuke glanced towards Nanami's hand and didn't take twice about taking it into his own glove. It would just be a big mess if they had lost each other in the blizzard.

Looking left, then right, then left again, Daisuke remembered that all the doors to each apartment building faced the center. So, that meant, if they just headed straight, they would reach the center and that was where the fountain was..

"The fountain's in the middle, right? Next to the carousel?" he asked, not wanted to get them lost within their first few steps.

[ooc: Yea. If he can figure out where to go. x)]

Mowing through the snow, Daisuke made a point to keep up with her. Though he wouldn't admit it, the boy was somewhat grateful for the obstacle courses his mom set up back at home. Aside from the fact that the whole thing was dangerous and deadly, they actually helped him to become dexterous and agile when the time came. He wasn't exactly a ninja, but he could do his best.

Keeping a steady pace, the two kept their path straight, trying to spot any form of life or a fountain. Daisuke hoped that Riku would be alright.

"RIIIKUUU-SANNN" He called her name out over and over, hoping the howls of the wind wouldn't carry his voice away.

The snow was quite literally howling around her, sticking to her clothes and her hair too. She was shaking her body every now and then in an attempt to get rid of the flakes, but it was getting so bad that she could barely see ahead.

It was the chill that was affecting her the worst. Her arms were tight around her body, almost frozen to the spot she stood. Her clothes were wet, her hair was wet, even her socks were wet. She just wanted Daisuke to get here soon...

It actually came as a shock when she heard his familar voice, and her heart lurched before she looked up, trying to see anything moving through the blizzard.

"NIWA-KUN!?" She tried, coughing hard from the chill that bit at her throat. She took a step forward, in an attempt to get closer to the voice, but she lost her footing from the extended cold, and fell to her knees.

"DAISUKE!" She tried again.

"I-I can carry her!" Daisuke quickly said after Nanami's suggestion as he tried his best to jog in the snow toward them. Recalling the time he'd climb up a cliff with her upon her back, this shouldn't be much of a problem.

"It won't be a problem," he added with a smile to reassure the two girls that he could carry her weight. He turned around ready if Riku and Nanami agreed to him giving her a piggy-back ride back.

Not wanting to impose on Nanami's kind nature, Daisuke nodded, although he didn't know what to make about a zombie-ridden town. "That's alright with me."

It was best they get inside as fast as possible anyway. The last thing Daisuke would want is for all of them to get colds.

The coat around her was appreciated, and the extra layer of blanket felt wonderful. She hadn't really processed Nanami's words, though she decided after having the warmth around her that she did to stand up and curl herself up in the coat and blanket.

The arrival of Daisuke must have stirred something in her mind, or rather shaken. The thought of this girl carrying her, when Daisuke was here. He was here and he'd come to rescue her. Why did that sound familiar?

"D-Daisuke!" She called out, attempting to get to him only to trip up on her way Riku collapsed against him, arms luckily finding their way over his shoulders. "Daisuke..."

"Ah--" Though his hand was raised in protest, there was hardly something he could do when Nanami took charge. The boy trudged through the snow, though his feet felt so numb against the boots he'd found in their closet. As he caught up with the two girls, he placed a hand on Riku's back and kept up his pace, hoping that his presence would at least provide Riku with comfort.
