Summary; Flonne found yet another person who accepted her challenge~, so they go to a clearing just outside of the city to start!
Log;

Flonne was so happy so many people had accepted! There were so many cool people here that would be worth learning a thing or two from, so she didn't mind parting with a few treasures in order to gain much more in expirience.

She had made it to the clearing where she told Doris to meet her. She wouldn't be using her magic, after all, that wouldn't be fair against a human. She had left her archery at home too, that was a bit too long-range for this fight. She'd be using her own strength. The only thing she had actually brought was a small satchel, containing one of her treasures as promised.

"Hello...?" She asked around her, wondering if Miss Doris had arrived yet.

Doris had already left the flat early that morning. She'd been avoiding the place ever since it was confirmed that D had left the City. It had only been two days but it already felt like much longer. And living with his family was particularly grating. She'd been there with them for four months already, but without D there she had no real connection to any of them, save for a friendship with Arthur--who lived in a different flat altogether. Not to mention the fact that she was pretty sure that Integral Hellsing barely tolerated her presence. And in the end, what business did a frontier woman have living living the the same flat with two vampires? It was like some really bad joke.

So, if she was going to be wandering around anyway, why not a friendly match with some random person? She just hoped she hadn't gotten herself into something she couldn't handle. She saw a young girl with bright pink hair ahead of her, who was apparently calling for her.

"Hello," she responded, raising her hand to catch her attention. Doris had brought her whip and rifle with her, though she had no intention of using the later--just a mere precaution after years of living on the frontier.

Doris blinked, seeing the girl float over. She hadn't realized the girl wasn't human when she'd accepted.

"Not a problem," Doris answered brightly. "I need the distraction right now." She also nodded to the girl's acceptance of her using her whip. "I'd say the being knocked out of the area would work the best. I'd rather not take enough damage to be unable to get back up, if you know what I mean..."

"By the way, I'm Doris Lang," she held out her hand. "I don't think I properly introduced myself before."

Doris laughed slightly and shook her hand. Flonne seemed a bit like Kisara to her at the moment. "I don't see why we can't. And you can just call me Doris. No need for a 'Miss.'"

"Thirty feet works good for me. I tend to jump around a lot when I use the whip." She was relieved to know the girl was a healer. Although she had a high tolerance for pain, she wasn't really in the mood to be nursing any accidentally broken bones.

She glanced around. "I'm not sure how you want to start off..."

She laughed. "If you forget it's not a problem." She moved back as well, releasing her whip, inwardly glad it wasn't her old whip from home. Considering the girl's bare legs she would feel terrible if she actually drew blood with the werewolf bristle.

"Count of 10 works for me," she said, her skill with the weapon apparent as it coiled around her with the barest movement of her wrist.

Damn she was fast. Doris didn't have time to counter with the whip, and instead grounded herself and blocked with her left forearm. It was a much stronger blow than she was expecting from the little girl. She weathered it and forced the girl back, before leaping to the side, flicking her wrist while in mid-air. The whip arced around, aimed to coil around Flonne's ankles.

Doris smirked at Flonne's reflexes in going into the flip as she found her own footing again. The last person she did that to landed flat on their face. She quickly drew up the slack of her whip before Flonne could break loose and pulled hard while the demon-girl was still in the air, straightening her out again.

Doris flinched as Flonne made impact, wondering why on earth she didn't soften her fall with those little wings. Doris cursed to herself, realizing she'd let the whip slip a little and the girl had gotten loose. She turned, following Flonne's movements in an effort to keep her opponent in front of her, her whip still dancing around her. She scuttled backward, more to the center of their playing field as Flonne made her furthest arc around her so that she wasn't going toward the girl.

And she struck, her wrist twisting to send the whip arcing for Flonne's ankle again (or at least where her ankle would be), but at the last second she flicked her wrist again so that the length of the whip made to coil around the girl's torso instead.

Flonne had evaded the strike skillfully. Then again, Doris had to remind herself she wasn't fighting with another human, so technically she shouldn't be too surprised.

Now the girl was making it especially known that she wasn't human, moving so quickly that Doris couldn't focus on her, and entirely gave up trying to keep her in front of her.

She had enough time to think This is gonna hurt before Flonne moved to attack again, sensing her striking at her back. Doris moved slightly, enough to take the blow more to the shoulder than the center of her back and went crashing to the ground. If it hadn't of been for the training her father had giving her she would have floundered and left herself wide open, but she managed to hit the ground and use her momentum to roll to her feet. She didn't wait to get her bearings, but pushed off the ground and bolted back at Flonne, bringing her arm about and sending the whip out first.

She grinned, seeing the whip coil around Flonne's chest and torso, barely managing to avoid her own whip as it finished coiling as she moved in on the girl. Two feet away, she grabbed the slack of the whip with her left hand, pulled it taunt so that the demon girl was forced forward slightly and, at less than a foot away, flipped her right arm up, hoping to land a blow to the side of Flonne's head with her elbow.

She loosed the slack of the whip again and leaped backward as Flonne kicked, blocking her whip hand with her left forearm. She found her footing and took the slack of the whip again, and, with all of her strength pulled on the whip.

She'd tried this trick in the past, but having her opponent airborne made it work so much better. With her backward force combined with Doris' pull, the whip came forward like a rip chord, setting Flonne into a dizzying spin. With Flonne disoriented from the spin she ran forward and caught her in the side with her shoulder and forced her to the edge of their set "ring" before letting Flonne's weight and momentum do the rest.

Doris laughed at how well Flonne had taken the defeat. She was walking over to help the dizzied girl up, but before she could even reach her hand out she'd zipped off. Doris had completely forgotten Flonne had promised prizes to the winners. She chuckled to herself. She'd just agreed to the match to get out of the flat and avoid thinking about D's absence.

"Flonne, you don't have to do that," she called as she re-coiled her whip and placed it in the holster at her side. She moved to follow. "I didn't hit you too hard, did I?"

Doris smiled at the demon-girl's innocence. This place was so odd--running into so many creatures that acted more human than the other humans of her own world. A needle of regret hit her as she thought of D being back there and inwardly scolded herself.

She took the necklace, admiring the beauty of it. Aside from the chocker that she saw as a necessity to cover the scars on her neck, she wore no jewelry--it was too easy to catch a chain or a ring in farm equipment and suddenly find yourself missing a digit or a limb. She rolled the stone in her hand. "How is it helpful?" she asked, accepting the gift and stringing it around her neck so she wouldn't lose it.

Doris continued to smile, hearing the explanation of the necklace suddenly making her very grateful for taking up the challenge. She reached up and tucked it down into her top.

"Thank you very much. I'm up to sparing again too. Just let me know."

She laughed as the demon girl rushed off. "Good luck, Flonne!"
