CHARACTERS: Everyone.
SUMMARY: we interrupt your regular Xanadu viewing for the following special reminder: ...the visit ain't over til the bloody plant sings.

That's right: our green belle been giving rather obnoxious titillating performances in Xanadu, to what can only be the... enjoyment... of certain Citizens. Adding injury to insult, it's quite possible that a couple of residents have also captured the plant's tune on film, and now the video's been turned into a network viral phenomenon!

But as Citizens surely know, every grand artist needs a doting live audience: come get dibs on more plant footage? Save someone from its evil clutches? Help a poor soul that's got lost in the gardens' great expanse? Get the plant to sign with your talent agency? Embark on a mystical quest to get it to shut up?

Just put your chlorophyll-tinted glasses on, and anything is possible.


[ ooc: Find whatever excuse to throw your character in Xanadu, tag someone new, and all around: GET IN HERE. Just as a note: hearing the plant is definitely optional, so please don't think it's an overwhelming sound that'd keep your character up at night or some such. It's just a log prompt. XD ]

[ Ariadne's working on her sketch of the plant again, trying to get the leaves to look right, so she doesn't notice. ]

Well, the animals probably all have the sense not to get too close.

Crepe wouldn't. She would want to meet it and make friends.

[ There's a slight laugh. ]

Yeah, Waffle would probably try sitting on it. He does that to Pancake and Rhada all the time.

Does he ever manage?

When they're sleeping. Of course, now we've got Biscuit, so who knows how things will work out.

[He keeps sketching and looks up to raise his eyebrows]

You've got a zoo at home.

Four isn't that many.

[ She's said this several times over the past few weeks. ]

It sounds like an awful lot to me.

[But then he's used to rationing]

Four of us, one pet for each. Rhada is Yusuf's, Pancake is Arthur's -- and, well, I guess Waffle and Biscuit are both technically mine, but Waffle wants Eames to be his best friend.

[punchedhitler]

[Steve smiles and draws.]

Does Eames agree with Waffle?

He keeps saying he wants to get rid of him. [ A quick adjustment to another vine on her page. ] But then he spoils him rotten.

He's a bird, right?

[boutant]

Right. A quetzal. He's picking up words and he makes kissing noises.

[Steve stops sketching for a moment, but not because he's upset, just to take a small break]

It still seems like a lot, but then I guess where I'm from pets are kind of a luxury.

[He's pretty sure that's why Bucky never had a dog before]

Well, to be fair, the kitten was being given away and I thought he was going to be made into blood sausage.
