WHEN: Jan. 15 | the Xanadu gardens.
CHARACTERS: Everyone.
SUMMARY: we interrupt your regular Xanadu viewing for the following special reminder: ...the visit ain't over til the bloody plant sings.

That's right: our green belle been giving rather obnoxious titillating performances in Xanadu, to what can only be the... enjoyment... of certain Citizens. Adding injury to insult, it's quite possible that a couple of residents have also captured the plant's tune on film, and now the video's been turned into a network viral phenomenon!

But as Citizens surely know, every grand artist needs a doting live audience: come get dibs on more plant footage? Save someone from its evil clutches? Help a poor soul that's got lost in the gardens' great expanse? Get the plant to sign with your talent agency? Embark on a mystical quest to get it to shut up?

Just put your chlorophyll-tinted glasses on, and anything is possible.


[ ooc: Find whatever excuse to throw your character in Xanadu, tag someone new, and all around: GET IN HERE. Just as a note: hearing the plant is definitely optional, so please don't think it's an overwhelming sound that'd keep your character up at night or some such. It's just a log prompt. XD ]

[Hey, hey, hey... he's trying to eat here. Can't a man even get a moment to swallow?]

[Eugh, fine. She sort of flops mopily back down on the blanket.]

[Look, this is her own fault for showing up with food in the first place. Mouth empty, he flops down next to her, giving her arm a tug. It's not as if she's the only one who wants makeouts right now.] C'mere.

[The tiniest little smile curls up one corner of her mouth, and she rolls over so she's curled up against Nathan's side, her hand over his heart. It's only mildly cold out today, but she can still see his breath misting in the air from this angle.]

[What his breath looks like is the last thing on his mind at the moment. Returning her smile, Nathan leans in to kiss her, running his hands through her wings.]

[dulcisnuntius]

[Dulcie's wings respond, opening out to shelter them from the snow. She shuffles until she's leaning over him and kisses back, slowly and softly.]

[Making out whilst a nearby plant sings about wanting to eat people probably isn't the best idea, but a minor detail like that has never stopped Nathan before and he's not about to let it now.]

[They're not exactly the poster children for brilliant life choices. And he's warm and comfy and Dulcie doesn't plan on stopping yet.]

[Warm and comfy wasn't exactly what he was going for, but he'll take it. Now if only that plant would stop trying to be so distracting...

Grabbing whatever snack happens to be nearest, Nathan pulls back from Dulcie just enough to take aim and throw it in its general direction. It's a pathetic throw, really. It barely makes it past the blanket, let alone anywhere near the plant.]

[That gets you a raised eyebrow, Nathan. Seriously?]

[Nathan frowns, slumping back on the blanket.]

What? It's not exactly the most arousing of performances, is it?

I don't think it's supposed to be.

[She clambers off him so she's seated on the blanket again and roots around for more jellybeans.]
