When; November 2, Evening
Rating; PG13-R, because Adiane may or may not get violent with him.
Characters; Greed
so_very_greedy and Adiane
overelegant
Summary; Greed finally gets Adiane to agree to a date, but what does the night hold for these two opposites?
Log;
Greed was just busying himself with the final preparations for his date when he heard the famiilar clack of heels on the steps of the temple steps. A sound he had heard many time, from many different women, but each unique and special in it's own melodious way. He covered the food he had ordered and pulled the good wine from the refrigerator, then set it all on a cart and placed it aside in the kitchen.
"She's here~," he chirped happily, almost giddy with anticipation. There was always a certain satisfaction in reaching a sought after goal, and Greed had "sought" a date with Adiane for a long time, now.
He darted to the main room, sliding the last 13 feet across the hardwood floor. He pushed open the massive, cathedral-like entrance door and bowed deeply to the woman he knew was on the other side.
"Nice of you to come, pretty Miss Adiane. Welcome."

"Nice of you to come, pretty Miss Adiane. Welcome."

"I didn't know you were that intimidated by me, babe. If ya' wanna' run away, you're welcome to. I'd hate if I was scarin' ya' that much."
They came upon a heavily fogged door, with dense condensation peppering it's surface. He opened the door and allowed steam to billow out, before walking into the spring-warmed air, the light of the moon shining down on him. He threw his vest onto a far off rack on the walls, then kicked his shoes over there as well.
"Unless ya' wanna' overheat, I'd suggest grabbing a cool towel," he said, uncovering the plates of italian food and bottles of chilled wine, "Unless you just intend to try and play it cool at the cost of your health."

She eyed the plates of revolting monkey food, upturning her nose at it. Though, she had to wonder what he might have thought of their cuisine had Adiane prepared it herself. She could tolerate human food, but was an insectivore by her beastly nature.
At least there was meat.
Adiane draped the towel over her head, crossing her arms across her chest and tapping her finger against her foream impatiently. This couldn't end soon enough.
"Let's just get something straight here, alright? I am doing you a fucking favor. You do something I don't like, you touch me without permission, I will get fucking nasty real quick. Got it?"
no subject
"Besides, why so angry? Why the heck are ya' so aggressive?" he asked, twirling some pasta on a fork before scarfing it down, "It doesn't do any good to get worked up around here."
no subject
She snorted.
"He didn't do shit. This was entirely my fucking decision, you stupid shit."
no subject
He sidled up closer to her, the feral slits of his pupils opening, "And don't think you're so bad. Even without my shield, I can take major damage. Your only saving grace that time is that I DON'T like hittin' women. It's rude."

Taking a liberal sip of wine, her single eye narrowed as he got closer. The lowly chuckle she emitted trailed off into a soft purr. "And you'd be eating your words if I had Sayrune. I thought I told you not to get cocky. Just because you have a dick doesn't mean you should underestimate me. Don't treat me differently because I'm a woman."
Pressing a fingertip to his forehead, she pushed him away.
no subject
"It's just personal policy. I'm not sayin' you're not strong, I'm just sayin' I'm not comfortable hurtin' girls," he said, "Especially ones as beautiful as you. I take it Sayrune is some sort of tool?"

Eyeing him out of the corner of her only eye, she noticed for the first time those teeth that were all too familiar of the imbecile who's fault it was she was on the date in the first place. She frowned, tipping her glass back and drinking the rest of her wine in one go.
no subject
He offered to refill her wine, tipping the bottle toward her.
"But what does it have to do with me? I ain't a homo sapien. There's no reason to be all snippy with me because of personal issues you're havin'. Why is fightin' so important to you? Sure it's fun, but I don't usually wanna' kill anyone when I do it."
no subject
"You've been trying to get into my fucking pants since I got here," she explained as calmly as she could, though there was venom in her voice. "And regardless of how stupidly strong you are, you won't fight me seriously because I'm a woman. And that has always been enough to piss me off, whether you're homo sapien or not. Ask anyone from my world that knows me. I beat the shit out of Viral the other day for saying derogatory things about women."

Adjusting her cold towel so it was draped across her shoulders, Adiane jolted in surprise at his question. Impulsively, she snapped, "What the hell business is it of yours?! ...Besides, I was a general. Despite being surrounded by fucking disgusting pigs like you all the time, I didn't have time to be with a man."
no subject
He pulled his feet from the water and folded them indian-style under himself.
"Or if you'd prefer, I can fight ya' WITHOUT usin' my shield at all."
no subject
She mulled over what he said, taking a drink of her wine and swishing it around in her mouth before swallowing. It was true she had a lot of free time in the City. Since Lord Genome had no use for Beastmen, she was free to do whatever she wanted.
"Just because I have nothing better to do, doesn't mean I'm going to fuck you. I'm not a whore." She brushed a strand of her bangs from her eye with flourish, snorting indignantly into the night air.
no subject
"What does that have to do with anything? Enjoyin' sex doesn't make you a whore at all. Tell me how," he asked, indignant, "There's nothin' wrong with enjoyin' carnal pleasure, good food, and fine company."
He moved closer to where her legs were in the water.
"It's not like you have anything to lose."
no subject
Propping her chin in her hand, she leaned forward on her knees and watched him with a dark little smile. "If I gave into those kinds of things, carnal pleasure more specifically, I'd be no better than the sick, disgusting Beastmen I've been trying all my life to prove I'm better than." Guame, with his harem city of human girls, came to mind. "Unless you're something special, I have no desire. If you think you can change my mind, let me assure you I'm really, really--" A pause as her smile widened. "Really fucking set in my ways."

She sighed, growing a little frustrated with him. Partly because, she didn't want to admit that he was right.
"You're beginning to sound a lot like Lord Genome. He told me that I need to learn to relax. Maybe in time, but not right now. It's too damn soon for that."
no subject
He shifted over and sat right next to her.
"But ya' know, I happen to be good at helpin' people relax. I could always rub your shoulders, too."
no subject
Adiane tensed again when he sat next to her. Alarms went off at his sudden proximity, along with the offer for a massage. Grinning devilishly, she leaned forward and whispered in his ear,
"No chance, shithead~"
no subject
"What's the matter? Afraid I might go to hard on ya'?"
no subject
"I assure you, that's not the case." Pulling her legs out of the water, she hopped back onto her feet. Hands on her hips, she glared down at him with all the intensity of a madman.
"I'm getting tired of sounding like a broken record, really. I said no."
no subject
"Then why the trepidation, dear? You'd think I was gonna' attack you or somethin'."
no subject
"I thought I told you not to touch me without permission!" She all but screamed at him, fire hot rage burning in her eye as her tail squirmed in his grasp. "Disgusting pigs should know their place! I am not, am not, am NOT, absolutely refuse to defile myself by mating with you! Let go of me!"
no subject
"Now you listen here, lady. I am NOT a "disgusting pig" and am not going to be called one by YOU. If I were a "disgusting pig", you'd be in a much worse spot. I could do anything I wanted to you and you wouldn't be able to do a damned thing to stop me."
He pulled his arm free and retreated back several feet, crossing his arms.
"The problem is with YOU, not ME, chick. YOUR issues are the problem here, not mine. Got it?"
no subject
What he was saying was the truth.
She would not be able to speak until she regained even the tiniest shred of composure back, so she took a moment simply to breathe. To push aside her fear, swallow her pride.
When she spoke, it was pitiful, and she just as soon kill herself after the words left her mouth, "You're right."
no subject
"Look..." he started, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, "I...uh...What I mean is..."
He clapped his hands loudly against his face and released a sigh.
"Look, I'm sorry I lost my temper like that."
no subject
"This is my fault," she explained calmly, looking him square in the eyes. "I don't like, let alone trust, men in general. I've had to suffer a lot of ridicule and embarrassment in my lifetime thanks to my gender. There are only three men I have ever trusted with all of my heart and soul. Two of those men are here."
She blinked slowly.
"And one of those men, I need more than you right now."
no subject
"Then I guess you'd better go see him," he said, holding them out for her, "There you go."
no subject
"Thanks for the talk, anyway," she muttered, none to happy for having to thank Greed for anything, but he did help her.
no subject
"You'll ajust," he said, don't let it get you down."
