Summary; Beach in the City party is a go!! Wear pretty swimsuits and have a good time!

The City square is decorated like the beach. Of course there's so much sand at this point that Dawn only has to accessorize to prepare for the party. There are beach chairs and umbrellas, over-sized towels. Two slip-n-slides have been set up. There are several different sizes of water guns along with several kiddie pools scattered about. Beach balls are rolling around in the fountain area. There are a few kegs scattered about along with some coolers full of the 'special' kind of fruit punch.

One area is sectioned off for the band performance. Time Bomb will be performing a few sets during the evening in between the partying. The scene is set for a good time, so show up, mingle and have one!

Any kind of attention counts better than no attention at all! Dawn squeals when she sees him just cause she's put both Dean and Sam on her list of things to do in the 'make them smile now and then' category. She bounces over to him and wraps him in a hug. "You came! I knew you wouldn't pass up a girls in bikinis party." Because lets be honest, that's exactly what this is to Dean and anyone who knows him knows that.

She knows him so well. He hugs her back tightly with a grin, lifting her off her feet and setting her back down.

"Wouldn't let you down like that."

"Yes, I did this all for you." She tries to hold a straight face as she leans back to look up at him. But then she fails and laughs a little, shaking her head. "Okay so maybe not just for you but I did think of you when I decided to get a few kegs, okay? So you have to have some of the beer because if you don't, I'm really good with a water gun."

Dean smirks at her and shakes his head. "'Course you did." He lifts the empty cup he's holding in one hand. "Wanna spot me a refill?"

Oh yeah, he's already started on the kegs.

"I will definitely go with you to get a refill. Less with the spotting and more with the keeping company. Cause I'm good company usually." She starts to walk toward one of the kegs with him. "Unless you're totally embarrassed by me... which has happened before only with other people." Namely her older sister when they were younger.

Dean makes an 'are you freaking kidding me' face and shakes his head. "You kidding? Definitely not embarrassed by you. As you reminded me the other day, you're hot."

"And don't you forget it." But since she's not cursed anymore, those words are far more false bravado than self confidence. It's hard to be sure of yourself when you grow up in the shadow of greatness. But she playfully bumps his shoulder with hers and shrugs it off, pretending with all the bravado she can muster. "Plus I have awesome hair. It's hard not to like somebody with hair made of awesomeness. Just look at your brother. He has awesome hair too. Everybody likes him."

He bumps her shoulder back and puts an arm around her shoulders. "His hair? That's what you like about Sammy?"

Yes, that's what he focused on in that bit of conversation.

She leans into that arm around her shoulder as they walk. It's always safe with Dean. Which is something she never takes for granted. As crazy as he or she may seem at any given time, it's always safe. Also, he's her friend because of her, not because he's friends with her sister and vicariously befriended her. It's nice to have her own friends here and there.

"Well he seems nice. And he's built like a door, all broad shoulder-y and stuff. He could be a giant to smaller people, and by smaller I mean munchkins... or oompa-loompas." She grins, amused at herself.

He's glad he can do that for her, make her feel safe and appreciated. It makes him feel useful and needed, both things that Dean needs.

"You kidding? He's a giant to everyone. That's why his nickname is Yeti."

He's actually pretty happy that Dawn likes Sam. He likes Dawn, he likes Sam. It's all a good thing.

Yeah, if she ever had an older brother or a guy best friend, she'd want it to be Dean. There might be a small crush, but Dawn goes back and forth between crushing and not crushing on most guys so the occasional Dean!crush doesn't get in between their friendship. She likes it that way.

Her eyes widen with a lift of her brow and an amused smile crosses her lips as she glances at him while they walk. "His nickname is Yeti? Seriously? He's not that hairy, is he? Like... under the shirt and stuff? Tell me he's not that hairy, like Robin Williams kind of hairy."

Oh that's just going to make Dean laugh. A lot. He manages to shake his head though.

"No. No he's not hairy. He's just a giant."

See Sam, your brother does love you.

She likes making Dean laugh so she's gonna beam with pride and accomplishment over the sound of it. They stop at the keg and she takes his cup to first pump the keg and then expertly fill it from the keg by tilting it to keep the foam down. She learned that one during her almost semester at college.

"Well than I'm gonna put that in the plus column for Sam then. How much is the age difference between you two? I'm gonna get all assume-y and think not much." She holds out his beer to him.

He appreciates that she likes making him laugh so much. He needs that whether he'll admit it or not. He grins when she fills the cup.

"Nice job, Squirt."

He takes a sip of his beer and shrugs a little. "Four years. Sometimes it seems like a lot. Mostly when we were kids."

Because Sam got to be a kid for a while and Dean went straight to being a stand-in-dad.
