Ash Williams really like his job at the bakery. He got to be a salesman, work with his hands, and be useful.

And he wasn't half bad at it all, either. He was adjusting to city life... okay. But the prospect of making good friends with a certain fiesty redhead made him smirk. He was crooning a bit of Elvis' "Blue Suede Shoes" to himself as he frosted some cupcakes.

Cadman laughed softly. "I better stop tellin' you how good you are, or that head a' yours won't be fittin' through anymore doors in the near future."

She obligingly nipped at the side Ash's throat in return, sucking a light mark until she was satisfied it would stay for at least a few days.

"Hopefully not. You could always get the couch cleaned..."

"Yeah. Maybe she won't even notice," Ash said. "Have to say, kinda like a military girl. All rough and tumble."

Cadman grinned. "One can hope. I ain't exactly Miss Priss, but I don't need people who I ain't sleepin' with knowin' all about who I am."

She rolled her shoulders and stretched, then sketched a lazy salute. "Damn right. And I ain't just 'military', Ash honey; I'm a Marine." She winked, then grinned slyly. "Oorah, baby."

Cadman raised an eyebrow and forced her face into serious lines. "Well, I'd ask you to stand at attention, but unless this place messes with recovery time, I'd say I'll have t' accept at ease for now."

Cadman grinned, the picture of innocence. "Thanks, Ash. I thought so, too."

"Depends. You gonna make it worth my while, cowboy?" Cadman raised an eyebrow and bit her lip, leering exaggeratedly.

"...Oh, it wasn't bad, honey. Just... maybe not the best I've ever had." Wide, innocent eyes on that one, but Cadman had to struggle not to laugh.
