When; Friday, February 10th
Rating; Fighting/Language
Characters; Our fighters
Summary; It's fight night.
Log;
The address that Carla had left as her meeting place left something to be desired. She had found the abandoned building on one of her frequent midnight boughts of wanderlust. It had once contained a relatively small indoor pool, it was clearly recreational, had no room for lap lanes. Not that it mattered much, it had long since been drained of water, its tiles broken. There wasn't much light, but she had been bothered to put up a few electric lanterns.
That's about as fancy as she's getting. Otherwise, she's waiting there with the medic, and with her hat and its numbers. She knows how many she spoke to, and has just a few extra should any strays wander in.
When she sees about as many faces as she'd expected and is tired of waiting, she brings round the hat. She's only explaining this once. Take a number, put it back and remember it. They're drawing opponents next.

A participant I take it. Who are you going to be facing?
[He causally began the conversation.]
no subject
[The general is calm and collected. He gives a polite nod. He's felt the lack of sparring partners here, although the very thought reminds him of his friends, and things he'd rather forget. But he'll push those thoughts out of his mind for now, focusing on the matter at hand.
He doesn't expect anyone here will be as strong as he is, but he's interested in others' capabilities nonetheless, and he would enjoy facing a stronger opponent, if one appeared. He's used to sparring with his fellow SOLDIERs, but he has no problem with facing off against those with ordinary human abilities. He'll simply hold back as much as is required, allowing them to challenge and test themselves.]
And you?

[She was a gutsy one, however, he couldn't imagine her being stronger than this man. Aion would have liked to see him at his full potential. The sinner's blood boiled with excitement to the sheer thought.]
Just here to observe, though... [His crimson eyes averted to glance at the man as well as a smug look on his face.] I may reconsider depending.

[Carla, as far as he's aware, is an ordinary human, so he knows he won't be pressed, but he won't disrespect his opponent, and the precision involved in measuring out his strength is its own kind of challenge, testing his control.
His own expression remains more or less neutral, aside from the slightest trace of a smile.]
I see. What might make you reconsider?
no subject
[A mere sparring match and one meant to play around rather than test true strength at least for this guy. That slight smile was a good indicator however...]
The level of entertainment, of course.
[His intense expression indirectly conveyed specifically from him]

[He'd meant that there was nothing unfortunate about the matches, as they weren't serious battles, and that he didn't mind being paired with any of the others.
Sephiroth decides to ignore the implication that the remark refers to him in particular.]
I do find it interesting, to watch how others fight. However, I'd rather participate than spectate.

Feeling a bit restless, are we?
no subject
[Not that the capital letters are obvious when spoken.
He considers the question. Is he restless? He does miss action, combat. He misses sparring.
And the memory of what happened back in his world makes him uneasy, when he focuses on it too much. So one might say he was restless. In the end, he agrees, in his way.]
I try to find ways to occupy my time here.
no subject
This certainly might be worth investing in.]
Then perhaps I shall entertain you one of these days.
[Even though he knew the man could win against Carla with ease, it would be an awful shame to have him use up any of his stamina before crossing blades with him.]
OPEN
The sinner stood along the wall with his hands in his coat pocket after a while and decided to now, observe the players entering one at a time. A bit of his own blood lust seeping out of him, he took that as an initiative greeting to see who would notice and dare to approach.]
no subject
What, you're just watching?
[She sounds a little scornful.]
no subject
Ah, the daring ring leader, herself. That's my intention. You seem disappointed.
no subject
Incredibly disappointed.
no subject
Perhaps if you last your round, I may reconsider.
no subject
You want to try me after somebody else has warmed me up?
[His words, not hers.]
no subject
If it truly is a warm up that is.
[There was no point if she was torn afterward. Though the thought of driving her further into the ground and break that spirit of hers had its appeal.]
no subject
Some of these guys are fully trained soldiers.
[She knows Sephiroth, she greeted him when he showed up. It's not a secret to her.]
And I'm a street fighter. How do you think this is going to go.
no subject
And you still insist on holding such match. One has to wonder.
no subject
[We're here to fight, not wonder.]
no subject
[Clear avoidance though he didn't mind the "don't think act" behavior. He was that way after all.]
no subject
You're real sweet, but no. I'm just saying you can mind your own business.
no subject
As you wish.
[It was no use pushing someone who wasn't willing to talk and neither did he wish to bother with forcing her. He'd find out eventually somehow.]
