Log; Ongoing

When; July 6th, near dusk
Rating; PG-13
Characters; Harry Dresden ([profile] dresden4hire ), Ivy ([personal profile] archivy ), Nicodemus ([profile] eternalnic ), Alucard ([personal profile] tinyvampiregod ), the Major ([profile] warconductor ), and who knows who else shows up to watch and wants to log.
Summary; It's time for the duel between Harry and Nicodemus!
Log;
Harry arrived at the appointed meeting place just a bit early. He wasn't as jittery as he might be, or maybe he should be, considering who he was dueling. Just because Harry threw insults at Nic and was willing to face him didn't mean the Denarian still didn't scare the bajeebus out of him.

Dressed in jeans, a "Touched by an Angel" t-shirt, and running shoes Harry was ready for his duel. He had his staff and blasting rod as well, but he had a feeling the running shoes were the most important part of the ensemble.  Running was a very integral part to being a wizard.  That and waiting, which was all Harry could do for the moment.

[ooc: Posting order will be Harry, Ivy, then Nic?  Alucard and Major, you can jump in where/whenever you want?  IDK.]

After a hike through the woods that would have been more interesting had she not been worried about Harry, Molly arrived at the scene, finding a tree to sit under the shade of and watch the duel.

It wasn't that she lacked faith in her mentor, she simply didn't know how a human will would stack up against that of a demon thrall. Thinking about it, one could consider the human itself wouldn't have much of a will on their own, but coupled with the demon? Bad news, in her opinion.

The giant Nazi zepplin wasn't helping either. Trust a demonthrall to have help from freaking Nazis. That and the sounds coming from that ship were raising the hair on the back of her neck.

Clow stood placidly under a tree near the back of the crowd of observers - being tall had its advantages. Unlike Abby, he didn't bother too much with making appearances, and so his relaxed and casual posture would have looked quite suspicious if many people had been in a position to see him. His attention, however, was raptly trained on the duelists, the young girl, and the ball of light.

This was Nicodemus' duel, he recalled, narrowing his eyes slightly as he looked on the man. Clow didn't know Nic to be the sort to take well to a loss and therefore suspected that Nicodemus would win by any means necessary - that or his loss would come with consequences for Harry.

The Major acting as Nic's second did not escape the magician's notice, either.

The fight was...interesting, to say the least. Abby's brow furrowed further, his hand tightening on the rosary as he watched the duel progress, outwardly worried, inwardly facinated.

"I knew he'd cheat," Clow muttered from the back of the small crowd as what was supposed to be a duel broke out into an all-out fight. It was a statement of the obvious, really, but it was all Clow could do to resist getting involved as he frowned, feigning boredom, and leaned against the the tree behind him. His arms folded across his chest and the expression on his face gave him the appearance of a bratty five-year-old who didn't get picked for the football team - and to be honest, that would probably have described his attitude at the moment, as well.

Blasted rules, always getting in the way of his fun...

Abby had already backed quite a bit further away from the ensuing fight, blinking as his eyes landed on Clow, turning slightly at the soft words.

"You knew?" He asked, looking a little confused. "How did you suspect that?"

"This isn't a duel of honor, it's a means to an end," Clow replies, his face and posture losing some of that not-so-charming sulkiness as he turns to Abby. "And I know Nicodemus only just well enough to tell that he's a sore loser. If he didn't cheat it would be because he had something else up his sleeve."
