(no subject)

When; August 19th, afternoon/evening
Rating; PG
Characters; The Doctor ([profile] sciencegeekchic ) and Rose Tyler ([personal profile] hisplusone )
Summary; The Doctor and Rose meet to try and start to work out some of their differences.
Log;
Hands in his pockets, his pose reminiscent of one he'd taken what seemed a lifetime ago when he and Rose had first departed company on a beach. This was a different situation though, this time they were meeting. To the Doctor, that made all the difference in the world. He had missed Rose before the curse, but afterward it was even worse. At least cursed he hadn't known what he was missing, but now he had been with her and then she had left. It hadn't been their first parting, of course, but it was the first one where they could actually be together.

And the Doctor had resolved to do what he could to fix things between them. He wasn't so arrogant as to assume that at least some of the blame wasn't his. He still felt it was mostly Rose, but he was often rude and more than occasionally neglectful of things so perhaps a good measure of the blame rested on him as well.

But, he was working on changing some areas of his life, so hopefully that counted for something.  And he loved Rose, and he knew that she loved him too, and that had to count for even more.  So they would meet, and see where that lead.  If nothing else, it would be good to see her again.

"Not even the TARDIS?" she repeated a bit surprised by it but glad that he gave in and told her. "Well I guess I really should start working hard for that second place then." She tilted her head curiously. "Um, where would we go? Camping again?"

It almost sounded too good to be true. It was rare that they took a vacation like that, only being able to recall that one time in the forest.

Rose just beamed happily thinking over several places that they could go in her head. There was that one place that she had heard about on the beach but really she was just so sick of beaches. Unable to really decide, she poked him squarely in the chest with her index finger, still grinning, "How about you pick, yeah? Only fair."

"Brilliant then," she replied with a smile, knowing that he wouldn't let her down. "Oh, of course. It's still a good consolation prize." She gave him a wink and pressed closer against him as her lips lightly brushed against his in a kiss.

Rose didn't pull away as she closed her eyes savoring the kiss. It had felt almost like eons to her since she had last kissed him like that and she had really missed him.

Slowly she pulled back needing to breathe, smiling at him with a nod. "Yeah...it is pretty good. I wonder what first place got."

"I suppose then you'll be getting first place, yeah?" She said eyeing him with a grin, knowing that she couldn't go back with him. Not now. Her mind was just so clouded. It sort of felt like Norway all over again in a way.

"I guess I do," she said with a small smile, nuzzling back.

"Well of course you always win, you're the Doctor," she reminded and then pressed her lips against his lightly before reluctantly pulling back.
