When; Thursday, August 21st
Rating; G (?)
Characters; Peter Pevensie
lionrampante and anyone who was invited!
Summary; Peter's turning 17, and Lucy decided he needed a surprise party to celebrate this momentous occasion!
Log;
Lucy had everyone help decorate; she was pleased with the results. Red banners and a sign that proclaimed Happy Birthday, a big chocolate cake courtesy of Claire, and a table brimming with presents. It wasn't as grand a party as what they would have had in Narnia, but she knew Peter would understand, and it was certainly better than his 16th birthday where the war had stopped a lot of the cakes and cookies because of the sugar ration.
Now they were just waiting for the guest of honor to show up with Caspian, who had been charged with bringing him home as soon as they were finished.

You know, it's a very pretty night.

It is.
[Sirius likes to observe pretty things. Susan herself finds it difficult not to look at him and admire too. And they kissed. That was sudden but...very pleasant.]

So what gifts did Father Christmas get you, Susan? That you found in the basement?
[He's not making fun of her - he's totally sincere]
no subject
Thank you.
[Smiles and looks upward to see the blooms hanging in her vision.]
He gave me a bow and a quiver full of arrows. They were very useful then, I'm sure they'll be useful now.

[He's beaming]
Really? You're an archer?
no subject
Yes. I didn't think I would be, it came naturally.

[That seems so very far away in time as well as space.]
But I do like it. I've missed shooting.

[Small smile]
I'd like to see that sometime.

[Serious but somehow can't keep from being amused with the company.]
Would you? I'll be happy to show you. Have you ever handled a bow?
no subject
Not once. I'm sure I'd find a way to poke my own eye out if I did.
no subject
Under the right direction that wouldn't happen.

So I'd be honored to have you show me.

[Smiles.]
What do you enjoy doing, if it isn't archery?

[Grins]

[She nods as though it is perfectly normal.]
I think you'll have to show me that as well. I think that archery is a little less dangerous.

[To be fair of course.]
Sirius?

Thank you for being kind to me.
no subject
You don't have to thank me for that.

[Leans closer to him to kiss him.]
no subject
Yeah? I'm more than happy to oblige.
