When; Thursday, August 21st
Rating; G (?)
Characters; Peter Pevensie
lionrampante and anyone who was invited!
Summary; Peter's turning 17, and Lucy decided he needed a surprise party to celebrate this momentous occasion!
Log;
Lucy had everyone help decorate; she was pleased with the results. Red banners and a sign that proclaimed Happy Birthday, a big chocolate cake courtesy of Claire, and a table brimming with presents. It wasn't as grand a party as what they would have had in Narnia, but she knew Peter would understand, and it was certainly better than his 16th birthday where the war had stopped a lot of the cakes and cookies because of the sugar ration.
Now they were just waiting for the guest of honor to show up with Caspian, who had been charged with bringing him home as soon as they were finished.

I'm on my way from misery to happiness today (uh huh x 4)
After all those inane activities he's finally brought the High King back to mingle and enjoy his surprise.]

Susan would be lighting the candles on the cake. At least that is what she decided. Since Peter did so for everyone the last year.]

For you, Susan.

Caspian, thank you.
[How sweet of him.]
no subject
I hope it isn't too sweet, or too strong.
no subject
Quite right, actually. Er...what is it?
[Another sip for taste. She has had wine before but this isn't quite wine.]

Sangria. It has red wine, a little brandy, honey, and some orange, apple, and peach juices.

[She's all smiles. Before Caspian's sangria even.]

Thank you, Su.
[He's taking a look over at the cake! Wonderful lighting job.]
Did you make it?
no subject
[Sisterly beaming at his glee. This was a successful surprise.]
Not this time. Claire made it. I'm sure it'll be just as tasty.

People it seemed were already here, though it was only Caspian that Lightfoot could put a name too. That, and Lucy, he believed he spotted.

[Caspian says merrily while waltzing up to greet the unicorn on the lawn.]
no subject
Hello there. I don't think I caught your name.
no subject
[A twitching of his ears and a bow of his head given, before greeting the other]
Oh.
[A sheepish look, perking his ears forward. His uncle would have scolded him for forgetting his manners]
Lightfoot at yours service.
no subject
You know Caspian?
no subject
I am glad you came.
This is Peter.
[Oh look, Caspian's other hand is holding that delicious wine. Sip.]
no subject
[Dawning in the unicorn's eyes]
Ah, so it is your celebration.
[Another bob of his head, mindful not to 'poke any eyeballs out'. That still amused him]
