When; Thursday, August 21st
Rating; G (?)
Characters; Peter Pevensie
lionrampante and anyone who was invited!
Summary; Peter's turning 17, and Lucy decided he needed a surprise party to celebrate this momentous occasion!
Log;
Lucy had everyone help decorate; she was pleased with the results. Red banners and a sign that proclaimed Happy Birthday, a big chocolate cake courtesy of Claire, and a table brimming with presents. It wasn't as grand a party as what they would have had in Narnia, but she knew Peter would understand, and it was certainly better than his 16th birthday where the war had stopped a lot of the cakes and cookies because of the sugar ration.
Now they were just waiting for the guest of honor to show up with Caspian, who had been charged with bringing him home as soon as they were finished.

I had not met one till that day either.

This is very nice.
[See, he can be civilized]
I hope you weren't frightened, Susan.
no subject
I wasn't frightened so much as worried for my brothers and Caspian.

[He gives her a smile then raises his glass to the pair.]
You will have to excuse me, I think I hear Zach.
no subject
So, are you feeling better, Susan?
no subject
I feel fine today. Yesterday is a blank. I guess the curse sapped my memory for the day. I didn't even get Peter's gift until today.
[This is all explained so lightly and casually.]

[He reaches to give her a squeeze to the hand]
You seem much happier.
no subject
I don't think anything important happened if that's the case.
[Her smile broadens at the touch of his hand.]
I feel happier. Hard not to. It's a very nice day.
no subject
It is a nice day. Your brother is a year older.
no subject
And everyone is here.
[He is moving closer.]
no subject
You're beautiful.
no subject
Thank you.
[Would it be bad form to tell him that he's a nice looking boy...young man... too?]
no subject
If I kissed you, would you slap me?
no subject
No. Do you ask everyone that?
no subject
I just don't fancy getting slapped.
[And he kisses her.]

no subject
Well.
I hope you liked that.
no subject
You don't need to say that. It goes without saying.
[She reaches for his hand now and gives it a squeeze.]
no subject
Would you like to step out with me?
[How proper. He's got her hand tight in his, but not squeezing]
no subject
Yes. For a while, I'd like to see Peter open his gifts.
[One last sip of the sangria, and Susan sets it on a table near by.]
no subject
You know, it's a very pretty night.
no subject
It is.
[Sirius likes to observe pretty things. Susan herself finds it difficult not to look at him and admire too. And they kissed. That was sudden but...very pleasant.]
no subject
So what gifts did Father Christmas get you, Susan? That you found in the basement?
[He's not making fun of her - he's totally sincere]
no subject
Thank you.
[Smiles and looks upward to see the blooms hanging in her vision.]
He gave me a bow and a quiver full of arrows. They were very useful then, I'm sure they'll be useful now.

[He's beaming]
Really? You're an archer?
