log; complete
When; Between April 1st and April 2nd, after this
Rating; uh...probably not above pg?
Characters; Doumeki Shizuka
monsterepellant and Watanuki Kimihiro
monsterattractr
Summary; Angst, angst and moar angst. because it's tasty. After an angsty fight of EPIC proportions, Doumeki goes off to the archery range. Watanuki tags along for the ride.
Log;
The day had gone from generally alright, to bad, to worse, to just plain suck. Doumeki did not want to think about it right now, and the fight from before left his nerves slightly frazzled. It was a sensation he didn't like, as he stalked off toward the archery range, silently, long legs eating up distance as he put space between him and Rosette and Ishida.

"And....what about her, then?" he asked, because he couldn't help it. He was angry at her without even knowing her, but in not knowing her, could not really condemn her like Ishida-san had seemed to, nor even really pass much judgment at all except to say: he would have handled it very differently if he had been here.
He wished he had.
This jerk, always telling him he had to look out for Watanuki.....and here he was.....the jerk...the hypocrite!
Honestly.

To Doumeki's credit, he had tried several methods to get out of going to Joshua. It was just...none of them had worked.

Watanuki utterly refused to believe that the perpetual boyscout [commonly known as Doumeki Shizuka, but only, in Watanuki's opinion, to those who didn't know him well enough to call him the more appropriate 'jerk' or 'YOU jerk'] didn't have a clue about a situation this serious.
But maybe that was what made it so serious?
....headache.
Awesome headache.
And. All. His. Fault.
Yes, he blamed Doumeki.
Worrying...er....thinking this much about such an insane thing so early in arriving was not really high on his list of 'I want to do this'.
Those spots were reserved for cleaning and possibly some kind of exploring.
Instead here he was, with insufferable number one.
And in the end, if asked, he'd say he wasn't surprised.
He needed to talk to Yuuko-san...

At that thought, Watanuki couldn't help but frown at his feet.
Why the idea of Doumeki changing bothered him, when he himself strove for a deep change, was beyond him, at least for now.

He didn't.

Well not remembering wasn't the same as not being a part of it but it still felt bizarre. And he did not like it, at all.
"You've been living with Yuuko-san," he noted. That was weird too.

If he felt a little unwell, he blamed it on transition, not really connecting it to how he'd been feeling in the 'normal' world, even though he probably should have.
He didn't bother to wait before starting to walk away.

...the movement behind and to the side of him alerted him to the archer's following of him but all that earned was a rough exhale--not a sigh quite but almost, something more frustrated. What did he want?
Then he rolled his eyes.
"I know how to get back on my own."

"I know."

"So, you don't have to go at the same time," he pointed out, and if there was a slight flinch or twitch or the like, well, he disregarded it and hoped stupid Doumeki would too.

A few faces came to mind but this wasn't the time...
He bit his tongue and continued on, if it seemed like he wasn't all there, well, he wasn't.

His guilt has always been a problem, it makes itself horribly present now though and he has already sworn to himself, at least, he'll make up for it.
He's got so many things to make up for already of course.
Doumeki seemed to be nearer than he should be, or was that his perspective? It wasn't really something he wanted to concentrate on anyway...instead there was the matter of stumbling. To his defense, he did not quite fall.

"What are you doing?" That would be a nice wakeup call.
