Log; Ongoing
When; Early afternoon, Wednesday 6th August
Rating; PG-13 - R because of Eliza's bluntness!
Characters; Tao Ren (
tongari_shaman) and Eliza Faust (
belovedeath)
Summary; Ren quickly goes to visit Eliza to see how she's doing without her husband, but isn't quite prepared for the older woman's words, about the observations she has made about him and his roommate.
Log;
As he walked up the stairs of Building six, Ren was beginning to question if he should be there at all.
He meant well of course in going to visit Eliza, but really, after the words shared the other day over the network, he worried what would come of the visit. Just what was he supposed to be hiding from himself? So what if he and Horo fought, that was hardly new. There was no significance in it. They were teammates, roommates, friends, but that was it, what else could they be?
Well, at least he would be able settle the dispute and prove there was nothing else between the ainu and himself. But of course he wouldn't forget his proper purpose. That was to make sure Eliza was coping alright since Faust's departure home.
Taking a deep breath, he knoced on the door of the old clinic, waiting for someone to answer.

Taking a deep breath, he knoced on the door of the old clinic, waiting for someone to answer.

Upon seeing Ren she let out a soft sigh, the knife she was holding from cutting the fudge resting by her side now. "Thank god." She didn't know what she would do if someone actually thought the clinic was still in practice.

Shaking his head to disperse the thoughts, Ren just nodded in response and greeting, still a little weary. She hadn't lunged at him, so he was pretty sure he was safe. But he had his families heirloom sword attached to his side, just in case.
"I did say I would drop by, is this a bad time?"

Stepping aside she let him inside. "I was just making fudge, would you like some?"
no subject
"I'm sorry," he said walking through the door, then turning back to Eliza. "I forgot about the other way in, I apologise."
To the offer of fudge, the young male only raised an eyebrow in question, unsure whether to worry or not that the woman before him was spending her time baking. Regardless, he thought the best option for now was to be polite. "Thank you very much, I appreciate the offer."

She moved the boy into the kitchen, cutting off a piece of fresh fudge and handing it to him. "How are you and Horohoro doing?" Starting on a less painful subject.
no subject
"You do know, Horo and myself, are here if you need anything." he said, hopefully showing sincerity, something he certainly wasn't used to doing. His family were more interested in teaching him combat than social skills.
As they moved into the kitchen, he looked at the piece of fudge in question, before accepting it with a grateful nod. Really, he never ate sweets. he always maintained a healthy diet to keep in shape. Well, a little wouldn't hurt, just so as not to be rude. However, he looked up before taking a bite, answering her.
"Same as usual, nothing tends to change between us." he replied, eating the confection, but a clear look of thoughtfulness on his face. He wasn't being entirely truthful, but he certainly wasn't planning on bringing up those odd feelings he'd been having. He was sure they'd pass eventually.

There was a secret sort of smile behind that fudge. If only she were clever enough to create something to force the boy to admit the truth to himself.

"He is a teammate and companion, that is all. I don't know if that counts towards special or not, but that's all there is to our relationship." he stated simply, ignoring teh slight whisper in the back of his mind telling him otherwise.

Needless to say, he was glad when the subject was redirected to talking about Faust, though he knew how much it was probably saddening Eliza. All he could do was nod solomnly at her, having no words to offer towards her memory.

She turned back to him, her eyes seeming to focus in the present again. "How would you feel if he disappeared one day? If perhaps you were told you would never see him again, or could never see him again?"

The sudden question however, made Ren's eyes widen, though he tried to hide the shock in his expression. Just how would he...the last time the ainu had vanished home, and even when he left after their fight for a while and lived in the forest, he had almost fallen to pieces, though he didn't want to admit it. If he didn't come back...
"He's...done it before...and I managed." he lied swiftly, ignoring the tight feeling in his chest as best he could.

"You always got along well, it was obvious you were meant to be. That idiot and I are not like that. Sometimes we can't stand each other. I just don't see what you mean by thinking there is anythign special between us." he stated simply, again trying to mask his flushed face.

"Just because your heart belongs to someone doesn't mean you don't fight. In fact, the fighting can show exactly how much you love them."
no subject
Love? Oh dear...no, definitely not! It didn't matter how read his face was turning, it wasn't because he loved that baka! No, no, NO!!
"It's...that's different for you and Faust! It's not like that with us. That's just...it's just wrong for sooo many reasons!"

"T-That's beside the point! There isn't anything between us that way!" he insisted.
The very thought made the Chinese Shaman's head spin. Him and Horo...like that? If it affected him badly the very prospect woult traumatise the ainu!

"I don't...want...to hear anything..."
[OOC: Can you hear it? It's the sound of Ren's brain breaking. XXD]
no subject
[ooc: Wot? I can't hear that, let's make it a little louder now~]

He could barely force out words now, too busy trying to control his bright crimson face, as well as trying to force out the pictures popping up inside his mind he really did not need to see. He would never be able to face his roommate again, would he?
"No...there is....nothing romantic...about it...not between us...anyway..."
