Log; The Archive was set-up safely at home. She knew he'd be gone for awhile. And she knew that coming could put her in danger. No matter how kick ass her magical powers were. Kincaid was her bodyguard and that meant he could veto going somewhere.

In the shadows, he relaxed as he kept an eye out the man who was coming to spar with him. He knew next to nothing about him but the mention of his powers had caught his interest. Maybe this would be more than just him kicking someone's ass. Something he'd done twice already. He'd even gone easy on the two he had. This guy though, he could recognize danger when he saw it and this guy had the aura.

Around the area there were hidden blades that he could pick up if he needed them. Guns too. But, he fully intended to start out hand-to-hand first.

Running his fingers through his hair, Kincaid looked through the darkness. He could easily see in this. Like it was daylight. He'd...forgotten to mention that.

Intentionally.

Gabriel was distracted by the other things moving around and was taken completely by surprise from Kincaid. He dropped backward, using telekinesis to keep from hitting the ground hard.

He also stretched out a hand in front of him, intending to pin Kincaid in the air. He just had to catch his opponent first, so he could raise Kincaid off the ground and keep him from moving around for a bit.

Gabriel's expression remained serious but otherwise blank. He was concentrating, and it felt good to be doing so on a fight. A new fight. It wasn't quite as satisfying without the possibility of new abilities if he won, but he'd almost forgotten how fun this could be.

Not only did it not knock off Gabriel's aim (although it did push his hand to the side), the rock stopped and floated in the air after it hit him. Gabriel's smile widened, becoming more predatory as he turned towards the origin point of the rock. "Did you think that'd throw me off?"

He stalked in that direction, hand out in front of him. As soon as he'd be able to get Kincaid in the air, his opponent wouldn't be able to move around on him. Of course, he hadn't been able to show off his regeneration yet...

The rock shot right back in the direction that it came from, quick as a bullet.

Gabriel walked slowly, keeping an eye out for anything he came across. Every time he found a large rock, he'd place his hand on it, skim the surface memories. No, no, no...yes. He went to the next one and found Kincaid had been there recently, as well. It was a fairly large rock, a little bigger than Gabriel was, and that was perfect.

"So," Gabriel said, turning his right hand palm up, "Are we going to keep lurking around in the dark, or are you going to attack me? Otherwise I might start getting bored." He raised his right hand and there's the sound of shifting dirt and clacking as the large rock starts to raise out of the ground.

As Gabriel raised the rock into the air, the bottom of the rock could be seen- it was flat, as if sheared. He raised it about ten feet, then looked around, curious.

Nothing? He waves his hand, as if shooing something away, and the rock moved straight forward to crash with intense force with a larger rock settled into the landscape in front of him. The rock splits into many smaller pieces, and each goes zooming through the room, exploding from that central point, on the off chance that one would hit Kincaid.

He kept walking, sometimes catching a piece of rubble and just letting it zip off into parts unknown. He wasn't really trying to hit Kincaid at this point. He was waiting for Kincaid's next move.

And then he was blind. The light invaded his eyes, his brain. It made him wince and clutch at his head involuntarily, before he realized Kincaid would likely use that to attack him again. Well, let it come. There wasn't anything he couldn't heal (or at least he didn't think there was).
