Log; Incomplete
When; Monday, January 5th
Rating; Starting at PG-13. (Might go up...)
Characters; Kincaid
notexactlyhuman and Gabriel
makes_you_tick
Summary; What happens what you make a resolution to find a sparring partner.
Log; The Archive was set-up safely at home. She knew he'd be gone for awhile. And she knew that coming could put her in danger. No matter how kick ass her magical powers were. Kincaid was her bodyguard and that meant he could veto going somewhere.
In the shadows, he relaxed as he kept an eye out the man who was coming to spar with him. He knew next to nothing about him but the mention of his powers had caught his interest. Maybe this would be more than just him kicking someone's ass. Something he'd done twice already. He'd even gone easy on the two he had. This guy though, he could recognize danger when he saw it and this guy had the aura.
Around the area there were hidden blades that he could pick up if he needed them. Guns too. But, he fully intended to start out hand-to-hand first.
Running his fingers through his hair, Kincaid looked through the darkness. He could easily see in this. Like it was daylight. He'd...forgotten to mention that.
Intentionally.

He also stretched out a hand in front of him, intending to pin Kincaid in the air. He just had to catch his opponent first, so he could raise Kincaid off the ground and keep him from moving around for a bit.
Gabriel's expression remained serious but otherwise blank. He was concentrating, and it felt good to be doing so on a fight. A new fight. It wasn't quite as satisfying without the possibility of new abilities if he won, but he'd almost forgotten how fun this could be.

Kincaid hadn't even broken a sweat or lost concentration or become short of breath. A normal man would have at least had one or more of those going on by now. That was the advantage he had of being a scion.

He stalked in that direction, hand out in front of him. As soon as he'd be able to get Kincaid in the air, his opponent wouldn't be able to move around on him. Of course, he hadn't been able to show off his regeneration yet...
The rock shot right back in the direction that it came from, quick as a bullet.

The guy had better control of those powers than he'd let on. He'd been ready for that but the sudden change was almost unexpected. Dodging the rock, he ran back into the darkness. If Gabriel couldn't see him then he wouldn't be able to catch him as easily.
Again, he looked at his watch. Still time.
Aiming his voice so it would echo off the walls (and keep his location hidden as he moved from rock to rock), he finally spoke.
"Nope. Just felt like it."

"So," Gabriel said, turning his right hand palm up, "Are we going to keep lurking around in the dark, or are you going to attack me? Otherwise I might start getting bored." He raised his right hand and there's the sound of shifting dirt and clacking as the large rock starts to raise out of the ground.

Climbing onto a ledge, he kept one eye on Gabriel. Dangerous opponents deserved that much. For a second, he stopped long enough to throw on a harness and some rock climbing equipment. From there, he grabbed a gun (filled with blanks) and quickly started climbing the wall and moving across the roof.
Kincaid was careful not to make any small rocks fall to the ground. Gabriel would probably figure out this new trick pretty quickly but he could deal with that.
What he needed to do right now was get closer to that light.

Nothing? He waves his hand, as if shooing something away, and the rock moved straight forward to crash with intense force with a larger rock settled into the landscape in front of him. The rock splits into many smaller pieces, and each goes zooming through the room, exploding from that central point, on the off chance that one would hit Kincaid.

Reaching the light, he stayed in the shadows as he grabbed a small device. A light bomb. It would be enough to blind anyone without the right protection for a little while. The person would recover but headaches were possible.
Not his problem.
Once the bomb was in place, he shoved specialized sunglasses on his face. Time to end this. The midget was waiting for him to bring home Chinese food for dinner.
And some new crayons.

And then he was blind. The light invaded his eyes, his brain. It made him wince and clutch at his head involuntarily, before he realized Kincaid would likely use that to attack him again. Well, let it come. There wasn't anything he couldn't heal (or at least he didn't think there was).

"Nice sparring. Let me know when you want another round."
Firing the blank, he took off running to go grab the Chinese food. Gabriel could fend for himself when it came to getting a way out of here and back to the City.
