Summary; The dance is upon us and the deities have done their very best to light up the Square. Students and staff alike have been invited, date or no date. Those who aren't cursed may still come to take in the decorations, the food, the entertainment, and the merriment... or they can take pictures for blackmail when this is over.

Rain laughed again. "Ah, but you have a few other lovelies you've promised dances to, can't have you letting them down."

Though she was looking forward to the end of the evening herself. Still some dancing, maybe a glass or two of the spiked punch... all very good things and a wonderful prelude.

Chuck smiled and run his fingers through Rain's hair, feeling their texture. "That I did. And I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone. But I promise to make it up to you. Every minute you will have to wait..."

Rain looked up at him. "Oh, I'm sure you will. And you seem like the kind of guy who keeps his promises. At least this type of promise."

Oh, she liked the feel of him against her already!

He scowled playfully, but couldn't hide the smirk. "I'll let you know I keep all my promises. The fact that most of the ones I actually make are those types is irrelevant."

"And why does that not surprise me?" she said with a laugh.

He shrugged. "Maybe I'm predictable? Or maybe you managed to get to know me so well in such a short period of time... Either way I feel like you have an advantage over me. Seems like I will have to work extra hard to get to know you," he said and lowered his head to brush his lips against hers in a brief kiss. Testing the waters.

She quirked an eyebrow, but easily slid her arms up around his neck and returned the kiss. With feeling.

Chuck smiled against her lips and kissed her back. He was not about to deny Rain the kisses, not since he was planning on so much more later.

After a moment he moved away, to allow them both some air.

"Aren't you afraid some teacher will step in and chastitize us for inappropariate behavior?" he asked with a satisfied smile.

Rain looked around. "I think they're more worried about the kids here. I'm 23, days away from being a University grad... I don't think they'll care."

She did take a breath to cool herself down a little, though. "But I suppose you're right. Don't want to shock all the innocents here tonight."

She clearly didn't include him in that statement.

He couldn't help but to laugh. "No corrupting the innocents, I'll make a note of it. But anyone else is a fair game... Especially my lovely partner."

"I'm counting on that," she said silkily.

"Such confidence... Maybe I'll be the one getting corrupted," he suggested.

"You might just be," Rain admitted with a smirk. "Try to keep up, though, okay?"

"Oh, I'm a quick study. Very motivated. Very enthusiastic, you'll learn," he said, his voice filled with promises.

"I knew I'd made a good choice," she purred. "Enthusiastic and motivated... just what I was hoping for."

"You might need to work on my patience though," he said, looking intensly at her lips. "Because we just arrived and I'm already wishing we were leaving."

"Mmmm... I can understand that," she said, rubbing against him just the slightest bit. "You'd better find your other dance partners so we can make an early escape."

He bit his lower lip, keeping himself in control, while still enjoying the sensation.

"You're an evil woman, Rain. Now I'll hate myself for leaving you... Promise me you'll still be here when I get back."

"Promise me you'll come back soon," she countered.

He moved away, took her hand and kissed it. "I'll do my best," he promised and slowly walked away, looking for Harry.

Rain watched him go with a smile. He was handsome. She sighed and turned to go see if she couldn't find another dance partner to fill in her time.

Once he decided he had enough of the party, Chuck went on a mission to locate his date, take her away from any possible guy who was probably chatting her up and bring her home. And do things to her, and with her, that would earn him a separate category on GossipGirl.

When he found her, he stepped behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Are you ready to leave for a differnet party?" he asked her.

Rain hummed happily at the feeling of him against her. "Oh yes," she said, her arms wrapping around his. "More than ready. Hope you brought your A game."
