Summary; The dance is upon us and the deities have done their very best to light up the Square. Students and staff alike have been invited, date or no date. Those who aren't cursed may still come to take in the decorations, the food, the entertainment, and the merriment... or they can take pictures for blackmail when this is over.

...a girl. Oh boy. Literally. "Where is this girl?"

Yeah, things were about to get messy. "I'm not sure," he admitted, "It's early, so she might not be here yet. She didn't say a specific time on the note."

"What's the girl's name?" Best to get this over with.

"Shizuka." And he holds up the note he got. Yeah, it should look familiar. "She didn't give me her last name, though."

.....well this is awkward.

"Oi."

"I'm right here, what do you want," he said, sounding annoyed.

"What's my first name?"

To be honest, Watanuki had forgotten. Doumeki was always Doumeki to him. "I don't know, what is it?"

Absolutely blank-faced look here.

"Shizuka."

Watanuki was very, very quiet for several seconds after that. His mind was still trying to process it. "You..."

He looked down at the note in his hands, considering it. "So you...you wrote this?"

Honestly, he's quite shocked Watanuki hasn't completely blown up at him yet. "....yeah."

Well, that's because he's still processing it. And there are two distinct possibilities, and neither of them sound good to him. "W-what is this," he stuttered as he turned a little pink, "some kind of joke?"

Doumeki is trying to tread very, very carefully here. So he only shrugs a shoulder XD Take that as you will, Watanuki.

That started to make him annoyed, though. "Don't just shrug," he said, "You need to give me an answer."

Crap. "Take it however you want." Trying to stay chill here, goddammit, why are you so hard to read right now. It was partially meant as a joke, sure, but he could be totally serious about it.

He was avoiding the subject. Crap. Maybe he really DID mean it for real. But why? How did something like that happen?

Watanuki wasn't sure what to do now.

Well this is mildly awkward. Let's try and find a solution, shall we? So he's looking out around the dance floor, and spotting Rain (http://community.livejournal.com/tampered/759623.html?thread=14082375#t14082375) over there. Watanuki wanted a girl to dance with, right?

"She seems to need a dance partner." He motioned his head towards her.

Watanuki looked over to the girl Doumeki had indicated to, and he considered it for a moment, but in the end he just shook his head. His night had been trampled on by the jerk Doumeki, and then Doumeki had gone and thrown a whole bunch of other stuff into the mix too. And now everything was a mess. He didn't really feel like dancing anymore.

"...I'm just...going to go home now."

"Alright." He is going to follow him.

That's cool. He's just going to go to his room and do the dishes. Because busy hands means that he has a distraction, though his mind is still going 'wat'.

Doumeki will make sure he gets there before going back to the dance. Because awkward times is awkward.

Yes. Yes they are. And just wait until Watanuki posts to the network about it.
