Summary; The dance is upon us and the deities have done their very best to light up the Square. Students and staff alike have been invited, date or no date. Those who aren't cursed may still come to take in the decorations, the food, the entertainment, and the merriment... or they can take pictures for blackmail when this is over.

"Yeah, I'm not very creative anyways," he joked. "I just tell the truth!" Blue eyes glanced at her as he tilted his head and grinned widely.

She smiled shyly. "What would you say now?"

Smiling widely with blue eyes closing in consequence, he nodded and commented, "I'd say this has been the best night ever and that I've spent it with the best girl ever and that I want to spend more time with her."

He was an expert at making her blush, wasn't he? Usually, she was all about grades and work--if what concept she had of herself now was even true--but now, she wasn't so sure. Following her instincts, she leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "You're sweet."

It was his turn to blush as the area around his whisker marks burned red. A kiss -even one as innocent as that- wasn't what he was expecting. "Sakura-chan, you're embarassing me."

"Oh, am I?" she exaclaimed, grinning widely before doing it again. "Payback!"

The blush deepened and he tried to hide it with laughter. He leaned over and nudged her with his shoulder before suggesting, "If that's your type of payback, go right ahead. It beats getting punched all the time!"

"Do I punch you often?"

"Only when I deserve it," he teased with a grin.

"That's still a bit too mean," she mused, then rubbed her neck. "Where do I usually punch you?"

The thoughtful look returned. "Well, I don't think you have a preference. Mostly the face, I guess."

"What parts?"

"My cheek, my nose, my mouth, my forehead." A laugh echoed out. "Pretty much everywhere, but it's cool."

"Hmmm...hold on," she said, and shifted on the bench until she was facing him. Then she took his face in her hands, and pulled him down, pressing a kiss to his cheeks, nose, and forehead.

The blush returned and he glanced to the side, grinning stupidly. "Heh, I like payback..."

She laughed slightly, and pulled away. "Mm, me too, I think..."

The blond grinned at her and reached for her hand, intertwining his fingers with hers. "I'll just have to remind you of that next time you're about to punch me."

"You do that," she murmured. "Use force if necessary."

He nodded enthusiastically. "I don't know about force, but I'll definitely try and make you snuggle with me on the couch."
