Log; Ongoing
When; April 24th, 2 AM (ish)
Rating; Please keep it PG-13
Characters; Will update when complete.
Summary; The TARDIS-based rescue teams board the Deus Ex Machina II
Log;
With the defenses down and the all-clear given by Iron Man, a simple blue police box appeared in a dark corridor of the Major's zeppelin.
Inside the TARDIS, the rescue teams waited anxiously, eager to help their friends and fellow citizens, hopefully ready for what was in store for them.
With the re-materialization complete, Romana turned to the waiting teams, "Bring any wounded or rescued individuals back here, and remember, you must be back onboard the TARDIS before the final assault, we will have to leave quickly once the warning is given."
[ooc: Log is open to anyone who's been assigned to, or volunteered for, the on-board rescue efforts. Plot details and contact info HERE, main assault log (if you wish) is HERE.]

He caught the look from Mickey, nodding back stoicly but inwardly grinning. For him, Paris hadn't been that long ago, and it was a sign that everything had returned to normal.
Even though Jake wasn't sure he wanted everything back to normal.Jake pulled out his gun and came out from his hiding place shooting.

Through their headsets, they got instructions on where the nearest prisoners were. There were more soldiers guarding the place than they'd encountered right before. The attack went less flawless now, but they both came out of it alive.

They ended up in a fairly empty stretch of hallway, so Jake pulled Mickey out of the main line of sight and took the opportunity to take a breather.
"Y'know, It's good to have somethin' to do, but this Major guy's just insane.' He nodded over at Mickey's gun. "How's that thing workin'?"

With Jake taking a short break, Mickey had to be extra cautious.
"Perfect," he said while observing attentively, "as it should be."

might beare jokes coming about that.]Jake looked smug, trying not to laugh. "And here I thought you wouldn't bring that thing out into a place like this."

"Come on, this way," Mickey decided to ignore Jake's remark any further.

He stood at the doorway and shot a few rounds into the group, shoulder to shoulder with Mickey.

Here, have a novel ^.^
"Hey, you alright?" He called, turning away from his vantage point for a quick glance at his partner-in-crime, then back. And then back to Mickey, realizing Mickey was definitely not alright.
Jake felt a sharp pain in his own arm, but luckily the bullet only grazed him. He didn't really notice, though, his attention was completely elsewhere.
[ooc: To answer your question on the other thing, Gwen got shot... in the side, I'm pretty sure.]
Yay! From now on I'll just let you do all the work
He could hardly move his blooded left arm anymore, but he tried to let it support his gun. To add to him not having a firm grip on his gun anymore, the beams from his laser gun were weaker this time and didn't seem to injure his opponents that much. He ducked away as one of the soldiers, one who would have been taken down were his gun to work the way it should, fired in his direction.
"Problems with my gun, though," he called out with a frustrated tone in his voice.
He thought about taking a rifle off of one of the defeated soldiers, but he soon realised that'd be too dangerous. The best option now was to keep low and trust Jake in this fight completely.
The things I do for you... :-D Kidding.
He shot a few, betting that their regrouping would take a while, then turned to Mickey, stepping out into the open just a little. He was going to grab the first gun with ammunition he could find, but before he could, his eye was caught by Mickey's wound.
"You're not fine!" He sounded completely worried now, not paying attention to anything around them. So Jake didn't see the soldier ghoul behind him moving its assault rifle into place and shoot...
It didn't happen in slow motion, not like the movies. It was like, one minute he was trying to take a look at Mickey's wound, the next, he'd shot the ghoul five or six times, and caught Mickey as he fell backward.
ilu
"It's nothing, worry about it later!" he snapped.
He noticed the ghoul before Jake did and yelled at him to watch out. He reacted impulsively when he pushed Jake out of the line of fire. When he did that, he got hit in the side, in his leg and in the shoulder of his not-wounded arm. The bullet that hit his shoulder seemed to come with such a force that it made him turn and fall on his back.
Everything started to get a little vague, his surroundings, the voice through his headset and the pain. Before he could really take in what had just happened, Mickey got teleported to the hospital.
