Log; Ongoing
When; April 24th, 2 AM (ish)
Rating; Please keep it PG-13
Characters; Will update when complete.
Summary; The TARDIS-based rescue teams board the Deus Ex Machina II
Log;
With the defenses down and the all-clear given by Iron Man, a simple blue police box appeared in a dark corridor of the Major's zeppelin.
Inside the TARDIS, the rescue teams waited anxiously, eager to help their friends and fellow citizens, hopefully ready for what was in store for them.
With the re-materialization complete, Romana turned to the waiting teams, "Bring any wounded or rescued individuals back here, and remember, you must be back onboard the TARDIS before the final assault, we will have to leave quickly once the warning is given."
[ooc: Log is open to anyone who's been assigned to, or volunteered for, the on-board rescue efforts. Plot details and contact info HERE, main assault log (if you wish) is HERE.]

But this planned assault...it was nothing like her usual adventures with the Doctor. This was more like being a soldier, and that made Donna very, very uncomfortable. She couldn't just stand back and let the Major's abuses continue, but she had never been the military sort. She would be very, very glad when this was all over.

She kept her promises when she could.
"You alright?"
no subject
"Me? Oh yeah, I'm fine. Just dandy, really."

"Ready for this?" She said with a smirk.

Rachel headed out into the corridor, headed in the direction the Doctor told her would take them to a small room of hostages. She tried to reach out with her mind and swore, the entire ship was dead.
"We're gonna have to do this the hard way - I can't sense anything."
no subject
"Nothing at all? Bums. That would have been helpful but surprises it is then."

Rachel checked the map on the com device and pointed. "Down that way...two lefts, a right and we're there."

Kitty moved down and around the corner keeping herself in a phased state. She peered back around and waved to Rachel to come on around.

"Next left is two junctions down."
no subject
"Looks like it won't be as easy as just walking along and letting people go."
no subject
Rachel put up a shield around herself, and ran into the corridor. She dodged what she could and felt the shield deflect the rest as she reached out and crushed the now-exposed guns with her mind.
As the last of them sputtered and died, she started to run.

Kitty ran behind Rachel keeping herself in a phased state just in case. She could have sworn she'd heard something coming from up ahead but she wasn't sure enough to stop.

He caught Mickey's eye, gripping his gun. "Ready?"

"This guy is getting his arse wiped!"

"So, which way do we go?" Jake said once they got down into the hallway, making sure no one would see them.

Shortly after, Mickey, being a step ahead of Jake, spotted a few soldiers. He'd been told they wouldn't be human, but they looked worse then he'd expected. He quickly hid and gestured Jake to do the same.
It wouldn't be wise to talk right now, but from their time of fighting alongside each other, they knew exactly what their facial expressions meant. This one said "ready to attack?" (Though technically, it meant "ready to kick some Cybermen butt?" but the situation was a bit different now.)

He caught the look from Mickey, nodding back stoicly but inwardly grinning. For him, Paris hadn't been that long ago, and it was a sign that everything had returned to normal.
Even though Jake wasn't sure he wanted everything back to normal.Jake pulled out his gun and came out from his hiding place shooting.

Through their headsets, they got instructions on where the nearest prisoners were. There were more soldiers guarding the place than they'd encountered right before. The attack went less flawless now, but they both came out of it alive.

They ended up in a fairly empty stretch of hallway, so Jake pulled Mickey out of the main line of sight and took the opportunity to take a breather.
"Y'know, It's good to have somethin' to do, but this Major guy's just insane.' He nodded over at Mickey's gun. "How's that thing workin'?"
no subject
With Jake taking a short break, Mickey had to be extra cautious.
"Perfect," he said while observing attentively, "as it should be."

might beare jokes coming about that.]Jake looked smug, trying not to laugh. "And here I thought you wouldn't bring that thing out into a place like this."

For the Doctor/Rose Rescue of Jack
Lifting his head, he frowned and strained to catch the hint of sound he thought he heard from down the hallways. Was it different then the moans and screams he'd come to expect from this place? He started to stand up but the world went for a spin and he sat back down, rubbing at the back of his neck.
Perhaps he was starting to lose his mind, hearing things he was hoping to hear ever since he'd sent that data down to the team and the Doctor.
"No," he whispered. "They'll figure out something."
He just needed to hold on and have faith. Faith in his team and the Doctor, they hadn't failed him yet after all.
