log; ongoing
When; July 25th, 9:30am
Rating; G? (unless Clow and Yuuko decide otherwise)
Characters; List; more characters to be added as requested
Summary; The long awaited second beach party takes place when everyone needed to socialize most.
Log;
She thought she was going to go crazy. After the disappearance of Lacus and Kira, and then being sent to an empty City, Uta was beside herself with worry. She sent reminders to everyone she knows that the party will be today, but she wonders if people would want to even be there after that curse.
Nevertheless, Hiiragi, Jun, and Uta went to the spot on the beach they had all agreed upon previously, bringing a basket full of sandwiches with them. Uta remembered Omi liking Kappa Maki and made some for him to thank him for cheering him up. Similarly, she made Ken some sticky buns, brought beer for Yuuko and Mokona, cake for Hunny, and coffee and cookies for Anthony. She thought it strange that she made special food for certain people, and yet could not think of one for Hiiragi, but decided at the last minute to pack a slice of strawberry shortcake for him.
Perhaps having that empty City curse was a good thing, because she wouldn't have been able to prepare this much food otherwise. And Jun seemed to want to attack the picnic basket he was carrying for her already.
With her pink, two-piece swimsuit under a sheer white tunic, she decided not to let the curse bother her anymore. Today was going to be a good day... it had to be, because everyone needed it.

Open~
Picking out a relatively clear patch of beach, Rosella spread a towel on the sand and seated herself on it, stretching out her legs and kicking off her shoes so that she could wriggle her toes into the warm sand. It was a lovely day out, she thought with a smile, smoothing a few wrinkles out of the skirt of her dress (http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/vv60/Fortunes_Wings/Polychromatic/Beachwear2.jpg) and tilting her head back to feel the sun on her face.
As she gazed out over the water, she made a mental note to go looking for seashells before the day was out. But that could wait a bit; for the moment, it was pleasant enough to just sit and daydream and enjoy the day.

...or perhaps she was hanging too much around Yuuko and her high class BF, who knew. But she did think Rosella was very beautiful. Which was why she didn't notice that she was kind of... staring at her.
no subject
A yawn and a stretch provided ample excuse to glance in the girl's direction, and Rosella made sure to smile disarmingly upon meeting her eyes. "Oh, hello," she said brightly. "It's a lovely day out, isn't it?"
no subject
"Ah... er... y-yeah."
The sun was getting to her. That was why she was blushing. At least, that's the story she'll be sticking to the entire day.

"I'm Uta..." she said quietly. "It's uhm... nice to meet you. I apologize if I was staring."
no subject
She considered a moment, then added, "And believe me, I don't blame you one bit. I've been doing a fair amount of staring, myself. It's just so nice to see all the people again, isn't it?"
no subject
She knelt down by her as it would be difficult for Rosella to speak with her if she remained standing.
"...so you mean you were cursed yesterday too?"
no subject
"...And oh, goodness, where are my manners? Here," she exclaimed, shifting over on her towel to make room for Uta to sit. "No need to sit in the sand if you'd rather not. And yes, I was cursed yesterday, I'm afraid. You were, too? I hope it wasn't too awful for you..."
no subject
"That curse felt like a cruel joke." She said under her breath, but quickly added, "Cain? Earl Hargreaves invited you?"
no subject
At the mention of Cain's title, Rosella's smile widened. "Oh, you know him, then? Yes, he's a good friend of mine. I wouldn't have known about any of this if he hadn't mentioned it a few days ago."
no subject
"I should have guessed you were friends with him..." She said, intentionally failing to discuss about the curse further. "He's my boss, I'm one of his waitresses in Turnabout."
Which may have been a little hard to believe, since she was only 14.
no subject
She certainly hoped so. And if not, then she'd certainly make it a point to look a little further into the matter. Still, there was something else that was equally puzzling, too:
"But, er, if you don't mind my asking...why do you say you should have guessed we were friends?"
no subject
"Besides, the uniforms are cute~" Which was really partially why she wanted to work there in the first place.
She thought about how to answer Rosella properly with her second question... "Uhm... I don't know how to put it in words, but...
"You don't seem like any ordinary girl to me. It's like... you're someone of high status. Like Earl Hargreaves... there's a certain air about you.
"Although I could be completely mistake with assuming something like that!" she quickly added, blushing a little.
no subject
This time, though, it was Rosella's turn to blush a bit. How did they always manage to figure her out, she wondered? She didn't think she acted so much different than other girls. Yes, she knew she was a bit odd and didn't fit in very well, exactly, but it wasn't as though she was obvious about it...was she?
"Oh. Well, er...no, I'm afraid you're not mistaken. It seems you've rather figured me out, Uta. When I introduced myself, I didn't, er, properly introduce myself, as it were. If I had, I would've mentioned that I'm Princess Rosella, actually, of the kingdom of Daventry." She looked a little sheepish. "I've rather gotten out of the habit of using my title here in the City, though."
no subject
"I thought your name sounded familiar..." she said, smiling, "You don't like being called 'Princess Rosella'?"
no subject
"And it's not that I dislike it, not at all," she added. "Just that...well, in a place like the City, there doesn't seem to be much point in insisting on it, is there? It usually comes out sooner or later, anyway, and I don't see any reason to be so formal with my friends in the meantime."
no subject
She ran her fingers through the sand, contemplating... "'Princess Rosella' has a better ring to it than just plain 'Rosella' though."
no subject
She shook her head, as if to clear her thoughts. "Well, anyway, it was quite a curse. ...Do you really think it sounds better, leaving the title on? It's all right for a ball, I suppose, but when I hear it in everyday life, I rather feel as though I'm in trouble for something..."
