Log; Ongoing
When; May 2nd, 10am
Rating; hmm...PG-13 for possible language
Characters;
harrysbackup and
dresden4hire
Summary; Thomas decided it was high time he and Harry work on that boat.
Log; Thomas had overslept. It wasn't something he'd intended to do. It had just happened. He'd been spending a lot of time with Justine and quite frankly, the clock hadn't mattered. To most people, showing up 30 minutes late would be a huge mistake, especially when they were on such tenuous wires with most of the people around them. Thomas felt it was fashionable. He'd mentally kicked himself for never getting the name of the seller in the Underground where Rachel had once acquired Mac's ale, and was a little disappointed that the two of them would have to suffice on regular brown beer for the day, but it was better than nothing. It was certainly better than showing up fashionably late and empty-handed. He approached the pier where the old boat of Harry's was stored, hoping his little brother hadn't been waiting for him for the last thirty minutes.

So it was nice to get his mind off of things, focusing on what to do with Jolly's boat. Even after all this time, he still thought of it as Jolly's boat.
The first thing Harry had started on was building a type of dry dock so they could pull the boat up and out of the water and rest it up on some skids to keep it out of the water. Once Thomas came along, they could actually use the pulley system he set up to pull the boat up out of the water.

"Now why don't we tie up the boat and then haul it up?"

"I think we're all ready to get her up out of the water. The skids are up enough so that even at high tide the boat won't float away," Harry explained.

We have use them to fasten the rope to the boat itself."

"Thankfully we're also tricky to kill," he pointed out.

"Okay, I think we're ready to pull," he said after a moment.
