[Terezi can finally smell again, so she figures it's time for a tour! She's waiting for Dave at the fountain, sniffing herself compulsively every few seconds. Man, red blood is so delicious, she can't get over it!]

[ he's not late, he's just... leaving her in a state of suspense. he turns up a few short minutes after, hands in his pockets, surveying the area.

... and then he catches the view of her behind the lenses of his glasses, and she's being... totally weird. as usual. ] Jegus, what are you doing? People are going to think you're nuts.

[She stands as he approaches, giggling.]

[She grabs his hand and starts dragging him towards it. Worst tour guide ever.]

[ welp. he and john had (jokingly) talked about getting an apartment together or something, but nothing had really come from that. yet, anyway.

he shrugs again, which is hard to do when you've only got one free hand. ] Nowhere, I guess.

[She turns to glance over her shoulder. THE BETTER TO SNIFF HIM WITH. And it doesn't smell like he's lying.]

[She grins again.]

[She sighs.]

Karkat isn't that bad! He can kind of ramble sometimes, but so do you. And anyyyyway, I don't think living on the street here is very safe!

[She scoffs at them both.] Dave, you are not helping.

[And then back to Karkat, who is getting the most incredulous look she can manage.] Did you really just say that? Jegus, Karkat, I am blind and even I can see the difference! She treats the two of them completely differently! She thinks Tavros is pathetic and weak. She considers John her equal. She is not going to hurt him!

[ he's not going to even ask about the face sucking. ] I'm not trying to help. I'm trying to keep myself as far away from this horseshit douchebag as possible.

[ and he's crossing his arms and scowling. ALL OF THE SCOWLING. ]

[Let Karkat pout. She turns to Dave and grins.] Where do you want to live, coolkid?

[ he drapes an arm around terezi's shoulder, tilts his head so it's resting against hers. turns the inner antagonist inside him way up; sometimes it's just funny to watch karkat steam.

delivered with a picture perfect poker face: ] Maybe me and you should get our own private place. No wingbags allowed.

[ and there it is. Karkat is absolutely seething. it's all over his features from the tensed stance to all the wrinkles from frowning so hard.

there is an insult on his tongue, but Karkat is way, way too close to tipping over to actually say it. ]

[Terezi nearly jumps when Dave puts his arm around her, because him being all cuddly is the last thing she expects. But she doesn't mind it, because what is personal space? She can smell Karkat's anger from here, though, and it is completely overpowering and this is about to end very badly.

MEDIATION TIME.]

There is no way I can leave my fearless leader by himself! Anyway, he asked me to live with him first.

[But she doesn't think to pull away from Dave, which probably makes things worse.]

[ he wants to laugh. he would if he could, but that is far from cool, so he won't. fucking karkat and his goddamn fucking insecurities. there is no way that they are anything alike, terezi be damned. there's no end to how much dave loathes him. ] He's about to explode.

[ and the moment Strider says that? it dies. Karkat had a good rage going, but he was not about to let Strider get the fucking best of him. oh no no no... If he blew up here and now he might say something stupid. He would say something idiotic and Dave Strider would fucking win. And no way was that human, that bulgestain, going to get the best of him. NO.

So instead of blowing up at them both, Karkat simply marched away. seeeething. well... he was going to slam the door on them all and pout, but that was something different entirely. ]

[Ugggghhh her life. BOYS ARE STUPID. Terezi pulls away from Dave and follows Karkat, reaching out to grab his arm.]

Hey! What are you doing?

[ sits on the edge of the fountain or wherever (if they're not near the fountain anymore THEY ARE NOW). troll romances are weird. ]

[ YEAH NO IDEA HERE EITHER ANYMORE SO LET'S ROLL WITH THAT.

ALSO ROLLING WITH KARKAT ALL HUFFY AND GLARING, LIKE THAT'S ANYTHING NEW, RIGHT? ]

[Sometimes she gets so fed up with his insecurities and lack of self-confidence. She lets out a huff, moving to stand in front of him and placing her hands on his shoulders.]

[She leans forward to whisper in his ear.]

We discussed this, didn't we? Why are you so freaked out?

[ watches.

look at this witty and lengthy comment. ]

[ he turns his head away, not wanting or needing to look her in the eyes. There's no need to, is there? ]

Because he's fucking right there and his arms all over you to purposefully get me riled up! You mean to say that you didn't notice that?

[Man she is going to drub Dave in like five seconds. LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID. She lets out an annoyed noise and doesn't bother whispering this time.]

[ he looks back at Dave with a sneer and then down to Terezi, expression looking a bit ashamed. Karkat quickly covers this up and just gives a snort. ]

[ but it still felt good to hear it. ]

[She grins and pulls away, grabbing his hand to drag him back towards Dave. Don't be an asshole again, bro. SHE IS GIVING YOU THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT HERE.]

[She links her free arm with Dave's and sets off towards the other size of the square. ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY.]

[ UGH, totally weird. but he'll bite his tongue, because he's catty, not an asshole.

"Hey Dave, what did you do today? Oh, nothing much, I just went on a date with a blind alien girl and her douchebag boyfriend." ]

[Wow this is... Really awkward. She sighs, dropping Karkat's hand and untangling her arm from Dave's.]
