Xanadu is buzzing this afternoon with with food stands and booths with games to play and trinkets to sell or win. There are a couple of stages where people play instruments, sing, juggle, and otherwise entertain.

People donated money, time and materials to bring everything together. Some areas are very polished and professional while others have more of a homemade touch, but it blends together nicely and there is a little something for everyone. A little further from the main attractions there is space for relaxing or playing a game of frisbee or catch.

As the evening settles upon the City, paper lanterns light up an outdoor dance floor and a band plays a range of music from romantic to spirited. There are also tables set up for those who would prefer to star or people gaze.

[They're hard to spook with the augur nearby, and in fact, a pair of bluebirds come to investigate her eagerly.]

I have been to the markets, but not the festivals.

[ She can't not smile back. ] It is. I think I rather like them. There is so much to see.

A timid response... well, that just makes Eagle want to ensure she gets the full experience.

"It is more fun to be in the middle of these festivals instead of only watching from a distance. Have you tried any of the rides or games yet?"

Only a few moments really, just long enough to see the juggling act in the street. It is amazing how easily they can do that.

[He might as well ask since she is here and this is the welcome center booth. ]

There are a few other buildings around the city that you might be interested in then. The Library is really impressive, especially inside, the Opera House and the even the hospital have some very unique features.

[ Howard is on a delay in responding, but he's never been one to turn down a hug when it jumps on him, and he's instantly grinning, genuine and fond. ]

[ It takes a moment to recall who she is, that day somewhat of a blur, although whether because of the curse or the need to pretend it never happened is anyone's guess. ]

Elena, right? [ Glancing over to the booth and down at the rings. ] Y'know something, sweetheart, I don't think you're wrong.

Does seem like everyone came out here today, huh? [ He puts an arm around her, protectively more than anything. ] Y'not much of a crowd fan?

I like crowds. Easy to disappear in. I just don't like them all that much when they're a surprise. [She shrugs slightly, though, leaning on Howard briefly.] Still, at least there are a couple friendly faces in here.

That would be super. Mind if I stop by in a couple days to pick it up? [She's dancing right along with him, smiling slightly.]

Been alright. Still adapting to the City. It has it's moments where I forget there are curses and craziness.

Nowhere, really. I mean, I was born in Kansas. We... moved a lot, though. After my mom died.

[He's firm, but smiling a little--he appreciates her good humor but only Dean gets to call him that, and that only with the understanding that Sam will protest even though he likes it.]

Yeah. It's good to get out a bit. 's usually all same old, same old. This is definitely nice.

[Elijah hasn't been wandering around the food stands for long, but it doesn't take long for McCoy to catch his eye. Or, well, not nearly so much McCoy as the foodstuffs he's so pleased over.]
