When; Nov. 1st and Nov. 5th
Rating; PG-13-ish with death and violence.
Characters; Rita (
negativegate) and Tyr (
blackshadow)
Summary; Rita and Tyr losing their heads. One of these is literal.
Log;
Once the influence of the Halloween curse ended and they were both back to normal, Rita...well, she felt pretty awkward. She'd had no idea the costume she'd worn was some vampire from Tyr's world, and there she'd gone and bitten his neck. Thinking about the fact that she actually drank his blood--it grossed her out. But at least she hadn't hurt him.
But it was exactly that which also struck her as a little weird. Tyr didn't usually like having his neck touched all that much, so it could've been the influence of the curse...
In any case, here it is in the morning, and Rita's still in costume at the house because she hasn't been bothered to change. She should probably apologize to Tyr if he's awake and see how he is.

But she's focusing more on how strangely he's acting right now, because it could be a curse...or something else. "I know that one on your neck wasn't there until after that curse, so they had to happen here." After a pause, her expression grows serious. "There's no way you could just forget something like that unless something's messing with you, Tyr."
no subject
This entire thing is making him sick.
He turns his back to her, not liking how she's looking at him right now. He hates when people pry too much (why?), and her eyes are definitely trying to pry into him.
"You're making a big deal out of nothing. I know what happened, so don't keep assuming you know everything about me. It's really annoying..."
no subject
She scowls and crosses her arms as she stares at his back. "If you remember, we've blacked out and forgotten things before..." She hates bringing it up, but it's exactly what's on her mind. "When those parasites were controlling us, remember?"
no subject
Some tension drains from his shoulders. She's right about that... They blacked out everything. They were run ragged but couldn't understand it. Is that what's happening now?
His head hurts even more now.
"I remember..." he admits after a long pause. And that's all he'll say.
no subject
But where she should she start thinking? If Tyr has forgotten more than just his involvement in that curse--and why would he only forget that?--then any one of his memories could be affected...
"Could it just be ones you made here?" She's mostly thinking out loud, not really talking directly to him. "Or ones from before that, too?"
no subject
And he knows that, so he tries to calm down. She doesn't deserve this.
"How am I supposed to know? This still doesn't feel real... I don't feel like I've forgotten anything."
no subject
"I know. It doesn't sound like the memory's missing, more like...it's altered." Her own voice is pretty calm--she's a little worried about him, but on the other hand, it could be only temporary. "If it's just a curse, it probably doesn't mean anything. Maybe they'll come back tomorrow."
no subject
"Right... So let's not worry about it now. If it's serious, it won't end for a while."
Saying that, he turns back to the discarded food and slides the sloppily scrambled eggs onto the plate with the sausages. They should be cooked enough.

With that, he holds the huge plate out to her with a smile.
"For now, let's just eat some breakfast. You're worrying too much over nothing." He hates seeing her fret. She must have just been so worried, and he was taking it out on her.
no subject
That in mind, she perks up a little. "So other than that, you're feeling okay, right?"
no subject
"I'm fine, promise. So come on, let's forget about this and get something to eat. Then you can tell me what's on your mind..."
Yesterday's curse obviously affected her. He wants to know what happened to her.
no subject
She tries not to think about the fact she drank it or else she's going to lose her appetite...
no subject
"I was fine. I've had worse attacks than that during the war..." he says it casually like it's not really a big deal to talk about. Like that bite, it's all in the past now.
no subject
But moving on from drinking his blood, she still thinks he sounds weirdly cheerful about being attacked. Maybe he's just...being put in a really good mood from the curse? "It would've been a pretty weird war if all your enemies did was try to drink your blood." Actually, that could get pretty creepy.
no subject
He was fortunate enough to only get relatively normal attacks against him. No-one tried to eat him.
When do you want to do the time-skip? :3
Everything will be fine, anyway, just as long as it ends tomorrow.
Yes~ This is a good time.
Nothing feels the least bit strange between the two of them, either. After how crazy things were over the weekend, retreating to the quiet of his old apartment just made sense. Even if nothing special really happened, just being able to sleep in peace together made everything better.
Now Tyr is happy, bright, and cheerful, as usual. And he's happy enough to just stay curled up against her in bed even though he's been awake.
Eeexcellent~ >:3
Now, Rita's finally remembering the problem of a couple days ago. Retreating to his apartment for the weekend was a great idea while the City went crazy with visitors, but it made her forget to ask him about his memories.
Nevertheless, she isn't expecting it to still be a problem when she wakes up and stretches, mumbling a good morning followed by, "Hey, before I forget--how are your memories?"
no subject
"Fine," he answers with a yawn as he rolls his shoulders and neck. It was a good night...and that's all he's thinking of now. "Same as always. You don't think I'm still remembering things wrong, do you?"
no subject
no subject
"I told you before, I wasn't hurt that time... You know that."
no subject
no subject
Maybe his voice sounds a little pleading, too. He doesn't feel different. His body isn't worn out, he's not...feeling any differently. And neither is anyone else. Rita is the one who's turned disgustingly macabre.
no subject
Should she start trying to figure out if he's forgotten something else? Where can she start? "Hmm...Why don't you go over what happened when you led that army? If there's some kind of pattern to what you've forgotten, maybe we can figure it out."
