Summary; Merlin is furious about Karl hurting Charlie and taking Saya, brings Arthur with him, runs into Setsuna and Kira who know where the hell to find the guy, and so they go on a rescue mission thingy. Kinda.

[ Oh, fine, he'll stop. For a little bit. ]

And Karl. He's not going to get away with this.

Funny. [Setsuna's expression goes cold, and he turns from concerned and amused that he was earlier to serious rather quickly.] We were headed that way ourselves.

[pratful]

We?

I do hope you're not thinking this is going to be a game. [ he doesn't mind the extra help but this is hardly a sporting matter. Lives were at stake and unless he's certain of your mettle, he won't be risking more then absolutely necessary to get the job done. ]

We, yeah, as in me and Kira. [Setsuna gestures to Kira behind, giving Arthur a bit of an annoyed look, lips tight. He had no issue with him before, but that kind of talk was aggravating.]

And you're assuming I might think this is a game? Why? Because of my age? [Merlin, sadly, goes without another glance, for the time.]

[ Arthur simply starts walking, heading off towards Diva's Palace and expecting to be followed. ]

You'd be surprised at how many people think they can swing a sword or shoot a bow that wouldn't know one end from the next. [ and many of those the very nobleman that were supposed to protect the crown and Camelot alike. Despicable ] As Karl is our opponent, I have no need for a liability hanging off my tail. As it is, we'll be lucky to get out of there alive.

[ And Merlin follows, but he does glance over his shoulder to say: ]

That means, come along then.

No matter how many there are, you shouldn't assume so much! I told you I've fought Karl before. That was no game.

[He sticks his tongue out at Arthur's retreating back, like the obnoxious brat he is. But when Merlin turns back, Setsuna sighs.] Fine, but I'm keeping distance from that jerk!

[pratful]

[ he heard that ]

And that's the only reason I'm letting you tag along. [ he'd be an idiot to discount that kind of experience, no matter how good or poor it was.

But then Arthur stopped and frowned. ] Is Saya being kept down this street or the next? [ not that he wouldn't recognize the place once he saw it, but expediency was a necessity. ]

[beyourarmy]

Letting me tag along?

[Snort!] Unlike you, I know exactly where I'm going, and I could just go on my own. Without you.

[A sigh, because, well, the important thing here is Saya, and not egos. He needed that reminder.] But we're going two more streets over. Then you make a left.

[pratful]

[ he drew in a breath just as he was reigning in his temper, but his words are slightly muffled due to the gritting of his teeth ]

Right. Thank you. I'm sure I would have found it eventually.

[ and off he goes again! ]

[SIGH. Well. At least he's going the right way, now. There's a sympathetic look in Merlin's direction, because, well, he lives with this guy.]
