Summary; Merlin is furious about Karl hurting Charlie and taking Saya, brings Arthur with him, runs into Setsuna and Kira who know where the hell to find the guy, and so they go on a rescue mission thingy. Kinda.

[ he was afraid of that ] We'll still have to do our best. Just how many of them are there?

[ he knew of Karl. He knew of Diva (who didn't by now?). But the others? and then they run into Liam and Liam leads the way ]

Solomon and Nathan. And I think another female vampire lives here. I don't know how much they'd really get involved in this, though. Solomon's not been doing much of late.

[I am not opposed to this. Considering I have no idea how they'd know WHERE Saya is being kept.]

Then we're even worse off then I thought.

Very well. Keep to the shadows and whatever you do, keep moving. We've only one chance of this and the second they catch our trail, we're done for.

[ should we handwave Liam coming in or do you want Setsuna to see him working in some random room so he can ask directions/help? ]

[Setsuna laughs, lightly.] Don't be so dramatic. If they notice, I'll just say I'm here to visit. Wouldn't be the first time.

[Might be less effort to just handwave it? Go with your desires!]

[ he freezes up and looks over his shoulder ] So you have been here before. Were you always this friendly, or just before they decided to black mail Saya?

[ but then he's distracted as he hears a loud crash from inside a room and with a raised hand, he creeps forward, peering inside. ]

It looks a servant. Should we risk it?

[ assuming he's human, one strike to the back of the head should put him out. And it'd save the risk of peering into every room they happen to pass by for Saya. ]

Yeah. That's how I know the shortest route here. I've known Karl for months now, talked with Diva a little, long before Saya ever came.

[Setsuna peers, too, or tries to.]

I've seen him around. Let me handle it. I'll talk to him. I really doubt they've warned the help about us.

[pratful]

[ he steps away from the door then, nodding. ]

Just make it quick. We'll deal with him after, just in case.

[A nod, then Setsuna steps inside, making sure the door never opens enough to reveal Arthur.]

Hey! I've seen you around a lot! But this place is really big. Think you can give me some directions?

[pratful]

[ Arthur listens, keeping an eye out for other servants, for other random strangers. No one can be too careful. But he still winches a little when there's a distinct clang of the silver hitting table. ]

Oh! Pardon me. I was just cleaning the um...

Ahem, my apologies. Where is it you'd like to go?

You know that girl that looks like Diva? She's a friend of mine.

Would you happen to know what room she's staying in? [Setsuna just gets right to it. No point in beating around the bush.]

[ there's a muffled noise, something Arthur can't quite hear, and then a long pause ]

I would of course be more then happy to escort you directly, but if directions are all you need just head down this hall and... [ directions are quickly rattled off and scribbled down and then handed over ] I think Saya will be happy to have friends come to visit her. She's been so melancholic...

The next time you visit, just give me a ring of course. I'll arrange something more direct. Perhaps even tea in the sitting room?

[ Arthur cut back a laugh. Visitors. Of course they were nothing of the sort. Clearly this man didn't have a clue what had been going on right underneath his nose. Or, worse, didn't care. ]

[Setsuna's not even thinking of how easy that was, and realizes this is actually a very nice guy. A little too easy going (it seems), perhaps, but honestly kind. How did Karl end up with a guy like this working in the place?]

I don't like knowing she's been feeling down. She's too nice a girl for that. So thanks. [He lifts the paper, showing it's all he needs.] I know my way around already, but wasn't sure where she ended up.

What's your name, by the way? Next time I come I'll know how to ask for. Tea sounds pretty good. Would give Saya a reason to get out of her room, too.

[ the large paycheck helped, as was the freedom to do what he wished with the house (within reason of course). Not many employers give one that kind of freedom... ]

Liam, Liam Lunettes. [ there's a rustle of cloth and a bow as Liam did his civic duty. ] And I'm of the same mind. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem willing to talk to me all that much... [ perhaps, because, she was disappointed when she discovered he worked there. Regardless of the case,that was Liam's battle to fight. ]

[ However, Arthur, still standing outside the door, cared not for the frivolities of polite society and abruptly knocked on the door, reminding Setsuna they were here on a mission, not to trade names. That can be handled later. ]

Liam, cool. I'm Setsuna, and I'll be sure to look for you next time I come. Saya's probably just getting adjusted and all that. I'm sure she'll talk to you eventually. Just be patient with her.

[Setsuna rolled his eyes to Arthur's knock, even if he understood. His smile never wavered, taking the reminder to heart, despite it all.]

Anyhow, I should get going. I've got some stuff I need to do after visiting her. Nice meeting you, though. [He gave Liam a quick wave and headed back out the door.]

Did you get what we need?

[ he waited only long enough for the door to close on Liam's final remarks, not caring that the man seemed to take Setsuna's words to heart. Honestly, what kind of servant was this man? He was far too helpful. Arthur would have him fired on the spot. ]

[And yet, he had just made a friend out of Setsuna. He held up the paper with a grin.]

Got it. Let's get there already.

[pratful]

[ Arthur gestures ] Then lead the way. Who knows how long our luck will last. [ he'll hold up the rear because far better to allow Setsuna (who actually know the mansion) to lead the way. And he does have the directions. ]

That's what I'm thinking. [He even managed to keep his voice down, and does so, leading the way to Saya's room.]

[At long last. He doesn't even know why, but he knocks on the door. She might be able to answer, and the others likely don't knock. This might let her know it's not someone to be afraid of.]
