Between everything that had happened over the last month it had taken nem longer to gather all the items Theo had requested. Ne'd finally gotten everything together and stashed safely away in one of the castle's rooms that had been converted into a makeshift laboratory. Now it was just a matter of seeing how far they could get and if the goats would agree to the change in diet.

Considering ne's more or less baby sitting three of the five...no. There's really only the one ne cares about and he's not who ne wants or needs him to be again yet. "This One only has knowledge of two at home and the one is not on the best of terms. But there are worse who could be here instead."

Keeping the rabbit off the other side, ne reaches out for his hand. "Might this One see?"

"It always could be worse, couldn't it?"

He glances at the proffered hand and then shakes his head, guessing that the Hatter wants to heal his hand. "No, it's all right. I'm going to have to cut it again, likely."

"Most do not realize how much worse. Lucky them."

Whether or not his reasoning was true, there was no offense taken at the refusal. Many would think twice before accepting any help from nem, not that ne'd offer it to many in the first place. But he was helping nem and in this case, fair was fair. Ne had no reason to disbelieve Theo though.

"Yes." He sounds a bit sad about that.

He does somethings with the blood and mixtures. "This will be the blood the rabbit has to drink to simulate the exchanging of blood that a vampire does to create another one."

Theo picks up some tubing and a needle. "We'll have to drain him first." There's a pause. "You'll have to drain him first."

Before taking the items from Theo, ne steps a few feet away and puts the rabbit on the ground. In a flash, a pair of black feathered wings appear on nir back. Hatter plucks a very small one then makes the wings disappear once more.

Taking the rabbit in hand once more, ne places the feather on its head. "Wouldn't want him to die from shock first," ne explains.

With the rabbit perfectly calm, the needle goes in his jugular vein without a problem and after attaching the tubing, the blood starts to flow quite freely.

The wings make Theo blink and then he makes just a barely visible flinch. Clearly he was expecting something when ne opened the wings.

"No, of course not." He watches the blood flowing carefully as he sets up an IV drip.

It's part of nir makeup to notice such things, even if most wouldn't. Interesting, but perhaps it should have been expected.

"One does apologize for not warning first."

"No, it's fine. Nothing to apologize for."
Theo says.

He brings the bag up to his eye level and traces some runes on it, muttering something. The runes glow glow briefly and then settle into the bag. The blood turns darker as they vanish.

"As you say." Nir tone suggests ne doesn't believe him, but ne really doesn't care one way or the other. Instead, ne continues to pet the rabbit while watching Theo at work; although, ne might not be able to recreate the magic, it never hurt to pay attention.

Theo isn't surprised ne doesn't believe him. He's not trying very hard to be convincing.

The language he's using is a variant of Babylonian particular to his father's people.

When he's satisfied with the blood, he says -in English- "I'm going to hook up the IV when I say so, stop the blood drain."

Ne nods in response, then waits for the word. Taking a needle out is much easier than putting one in; once it's out, ne can heal the wound as well to keep the poor thing from losing any of the new blood.

There's another quick checking of the bag and spells before he hooks up the IV. Nodding he says, "Okay... now."

And in a flash the need is out and safely put aside, bunny blood or not, no one wants to be stuck unnecessarily.

Theo sets up the blood drip for the bunny, letting it flow, carefully watching for any sort of reactions.

And since ne has no idea what they are wanting or watching for, ne keeps petting the lifeless bunny--it does help blood flow.

After a few minutes the bunny starts to stir with a few sharp kicks of its hind legs.

Ne keeps up the petting, talking to the rabbit quietly as well to try and keep it calm. It would be annoying for the work done on it to go to waste whether or not anything else comes from it.

The rabbit bites nim with tiny sharp fangs.

The bite is quite unexpected and the little thing is quite lucky ne's got experience dealing with sharp items and they need him. Ne does have a habit of blowing up things when upset.

Theo leans over and reaches out to the bunny. It doesn't react in terror, instead it nuzzles his hand.

"I think it worked."

IT'S UNDEAD! UNDEAD! UNDEAD!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!

Ne just smiles at both of them. "Good. Hopefully Phear and Tehrror think so as well."

"Now we have to hope the goats think it's dinner."

Of course if the goats enjoy the bunny that's going to bring up other issues. "If they do, more will be needed yes? Will this need to be preformed for every meal then?" Do undead bunnies multiply like regular ones?

"I was thinking of showing them the bunny and seeing if they were interested in it. Then deciding what to do from there."

"A good idea. Although with only one you might not want to get too close, One would hate for someone to get hurt if they both decide they want it right then."

Yes, Theo you're carrying the bunny this time since he now likes you. Or rather likes the taste of nem.

He doesn't mind. In fact Jasper is trying to make friends with the bunny now. Theo is thinking that Bunnicula would be a good name for it.

"That's a good idea."

Hatter would probably agree if ne knew the story, even so the name would make sense. But how smart is it for Jasper to become friendly with potential lab fodder? Poor thing.

"Let's go then, better to find out soon than later if it's acceptable."

Theo loved the book as a child and wanted his own vampire bunny. His parents wouldn't let him have one.

Well, Jasper is a zombie rat, so not that smart. The bunny tries to bite Jasper so Theo bops it on the nose and with a quiet word and the tiniest hint of power the bunny settles sleepily in his arms.

"That's acceptable."
