Katou appearing in the City... Kira felt as if he should have known it would happen. Some part of him probably had known, to be honest, but he still felt strangely caught off-guard, by a friend who he had killed, in a future he didn't know enough about to feel certainty.

All he did know was that Setsuna felt guilty and he also knew that Setsuna's guilt...

Well, it could have very negative effects.

So he entered Setsuna's room - without knocking - and closed the door behind himself.

"How're you doing?"

"That's not what I asked. I'm making sure you're at least sleeping somewhere, ass!" Setsuna frustratedly spat out.

Then he went entirely cold, firm, jaw set and determined.

"I don't care. I'm not going to watch him suffer anymore. He's struggling, and he hates it, and he won't admit it to anyone," Setsuna pointed out, not budging. He was not giving on this one.

"And you think he'd want you to sacrifice something for that? You don't think that's the last thing he'd want?" Kira's eyes searched Setsuna's face, he arched an eyebrow. "How about you talk to him first. Talk to Katou. Ask him what he thinks of this. Explain what you'll do."

Setsuna crossed his arms and stared right back at Kira.

"I already talked to him. I didn't explain how it works, but you already can guess how that went. He isn't going to pick the best option for himself," Setsuna said with a huff, then, aggravated by them both, added, "Am I the only one that thinks Katou is worth this?"

"You probably are. There is no need for you to trade with the deities again. You seem to not think much of it, but deals don't come for free. I don't think Katou is worth you risking that. I don't think anyone is."

Kira shrugged, not bothering to hide that truth.

"I know they're not free! I know what I'm getting into," he nearly shouted out, annoyance at being treated like he was stupid, or a child unaware of what he wanted coming out in his tone.

"And of course you wouldn't think anyone's worth it! But you'd have Hatter trade important things!" The last part was bitter, frustrated, complete with a waving arm as Setsuna got up to walk to his door.

There he turned around to finish it all with, "But I think Katou's worth it. And we agreed next time I'd tell you, so I told you. Now you need to deal with it."

And then he stormed out of, yes, his own room.
