Summary; Scott overbooks his day which means after a puppy drive comes a housewarming so everyone can meet his mom and friends. Also, this is apparently what people do when they move in to new places and he and his mom never had one in Beacon Hills. Also Beacon Hills dinner!

Scott has had a busy day. In a lot of ways he's had a busy week but, really, today has been the busiest. He started early, cleaning up the shelter and setting up for the fastest animal drive known to man. After moving everything back inside, he heads straight for his and his mom's new apartment. It's looking more and more like it's going to be just them which is all right. But, luckily, everyone is invited over that afternoon.

After his mom takes their new kitten, Scott grabs a few deli and vegetable platters with dips, sodas, and a platter of fried chicken before bringing them home. He asks Stiles if has anything like an iPod or something to play music with. And luckily, people are bringing food and drinks.

Their furniture is sparse at first. There's a sage green sectioned couch, a dining room table and several chairs. Three of the four rooms have bedroom sets. But, they have the room if need be. Scott has volunteered his bathroom to be the guest bathroom and like a good son, he takes coats into his bedroom and sets them on the bed.

He figures this is a good time to mix, to mingle, and for everyone to meet everyone - and his mother. He wants to make her proud. He's a little tired but he's managing. He changes outfits and washes up before people get there so he doesn't smell like dog. Of course, he kind of always smells like dog but only to the trained nose.

Later on, his mother insists everyone from Beacon Hills stay for a proper dinner. In Scott's world, his mom's word is law - unless it interferes with werewolf business. But, there's really hardly any of that here so, everyone should be grateful? Maybe they can do this.

"Look, I can't say I get it..." He looks from Scott to Stiles. "But just talk to him. You guys are still best friends, just explain your feelings."

Does Isaac mean that he doesn't get Stiles and Scott's friendship or why Stiles is choosing to live with Derek Hale out of loyalty and - something else? But, Scott nods.

"I will." Time to change the subject. "Have you had the wings, yet?"

Isaac gets nothing, he doesn't remember his social situation to be so confusing. And oh thank God, Scott changed the subject. "Yeah they're good, your mom really knows how to make an inviting housewarming."

"Yeah, even though it was supposed to be Saturday..." he says, looking back. Whoops.

"Wow, that's uh, even more impressive." Mrs. McCall, lady of many talents.

"It is!" He picked some things up at the store, too, but his mother is the most impressive. It's just the truth. "She's worried about money but I don't think she gets how easy it is to get here."

"Yeah I already found money in my old room, Derek said it was mine. But I mean the only thing I need to buy is clothes and maybe food." Yeah it seemed all very simple to him.

"The fridge is actually stocked," he says, thinking back to the first day of Stiles' recovery. He'd wanted to help in some way. And they'd had no food in the house. So, he'd gone grocery shopping. "You're probably good for a few more days." Then again, he could have things he wanted that Scott hadn't gotten. Like, Mexican. "Clothes are easy to find." He doesn't know if Isaac's fashion sense translates to the City but he figures he'll find something he likes.

"That's cool, Derek just told me to replace things." He then starts thinking about the clothes. Somehow he doubts he'll find things to recreate his collection of fancy scarves and coats, because that was totally his thing.

"Did you have any clothes from the last time you were here?" Scott stayed out of the drawers and only got a few clothing essentials. Gosh, when he goes with his mom it's totally going to feel like back to school shopping.

"I didn't look..." He shrugs "I mean, it felt kinda like stealing from myself." It was weird, thinking he was here before even though nothing really felt like his.

"But, it was you. It wouldn't be stealing." It's like, it's Isaac's rightfully.

"Yeah yeah, I'm gonna have a look around tonight and then go to the store or whatever it is tomorrow..." Because he needed clothes definitely.

"Good plan," he says. "I could come with, if you want."

"As long as you're not trying to give me fashion advice." He grins.

"What's wrong with my taste in clothes?" he asks, scoffing.

"Nothing.. its just uh, not my taste?" Letting him down easy.

How offensive, Isaac.

"You don't have to wear what I buy." Correction, what's bought for him. He's still a teenager.

He just chuckles slightly. "Yeah we can go if you want, I mean clothes are kinda needed." Couldn't be walking around the city naked all of the time.

Please don't Isaac. People might throw things.

"We'll go tomorrow, then."

"Cool, you have to tell me where it is though..." Because still not so good at the navigation part of the City.

"Maybe," he replies, jokingly.

"Hey you're the one who wants to avoid me walking around naked, right? Then you have to show me where we're going." He grins.

Of course he'll show you where to go, Isaac!

"I should change the trash bags," he says, glancing into the kitchen.

"I can take them? I should be getting back to Derek's soon..." Plus he needed to truly ~settle.
