Everyone raise your glasses!
When; Evening of Tuesday, August 13th
Rating; PG-13, at best. Angela's on her best behavior tonight.
Characters; It's Ginny's birthday party and everybody Ginny knows was invited. Let's handwave that and just show up. BTW, IT'S BLACK TIE. PUT ON YOUR SUITS, BOYS.
Summary; There's no legal drinking age in the City, but who says we can't party like there was one anyway?
Log;
This party was four years coming. The restaurant has set aside a large room just for this event and on short notice too. The food is plentiful and of various cuisines, with even a large selection of vegetarian options for those who prefer that. But of course, there is more alcohol than one has ever seen because Angela knows the people she invited and knows quite a few of them have liquor in their veins instead of blood. Rule of thumb: more liquid than solids every time.
Everything's set and ready for the birthday girl to make her appearance, so for the time being, Angela's flitting around the place dressed in more subdued colors than usual, choosing black because no one gets to stand out more than Ginny tonight, and socializing with the few guests that have shown up already.
Sadly, there are no strippers. Ginny nixed that one hard.

Might just be coincidence. [ but there's a phantom of a smirk on his face. yeah, he probably got someone to tell him about what dress they've made for her so he'd match. ] I wear blue all the time.
[ a beat. ]
You had enough to get yourself a bike and a truck for me, Jim. [ and besides, bones would've paid if he'd just told him. ]

I used the extra up. It's fine, I didn't arrive naked. That was option B.

[ Not that it ever held a hope of that, y'know. But it BEARS SAYING for his wounded ego. ]
... Do you seriously have a hypo in your back pocket?
no subject
[ HONESTLY. ]
no subject
[ Since he groused, he gets an arm draped around his shoulders, far, far away from his ass. ]
no subject
[ please, jim, you're insulting him. plus, he needs to keep you in line somehow. no dancing naked on the tabletops, thank you. ]
If you ate the caviar, I'm going to kill you.
no subject
I ate Spock's cake and some sandwiches, that's all. I'm kill-zone free.

[ let's not go there.
sarcastically: ] That's because you're a special case.
no subject
[ Going off what he's seen in holofilms, ahw yiss. Special as heck. ]
How am I doing?
no subject
Seven out of them. [ he smirks. ] Got grace, but you need style.
no subject
I'm going to remember you called me graceful. We'll be old and wrinkly and I'll say, "You once said I had graceful hips", and you'll have to nod and agree. [ A smile stretches. ] Am I supposed to assume you've got all the style here?
no subject
If you wanted me to dip you then just say so. [ his lips curl upwards. ] Because I will, Jim, then I'll drop you.
no subject
Hopefully no bridges will come between them, ahem.He laughs and rolls his eyes. ]You can drop me after but I want to see this. Go ahead and dip away.
no subject
just saying.and so, he drops a hand to jim's waist and dips. not too low, because that might break both of their backs. ]
You should know better than to challenge me when I mean business, kid.
[ then he lets go (or, well, he pushes jim off him, if he's still holding on to his shoulders.) ]
no subject
You bastard, you did it too.
[ Huffing!! ]
That was awful.
no subject
Come on, Twinkletoes, you're going to get frostbitten.
no subject
[ Grousing in his own right, he heaves himself up and uses the arm slotted around Bones' shoulders to brush the snow off there. ]
no subject
[ but it comes out fond. ]
Tired yet?
no subject
[ ... And then, goddamit, he ducks his head to the side to yawn against a shoulder. Fuck. ]
All night.
no subject
Good for you, then, but these old bones have to rest some time tonight. I can go by myself if you still want to chat around.
