Rating; PG-13, at best. Angela's on her best behavior tonight.
Characters; It's Ginny's birthday party and everybody Ginny knows was invited. Let's handwave that and just show up. BTW, IT'S BLACK TIE. PUT ON YOUR SUITS, BOYS.
Summary; There's no legal drinking age in the City, but who says we can't party like there was one anyway?

This party was four years coming. The restaurant has set aside a large room just for this event and on short notice too. The food is plentiful and of various cuisines, with even a large selection of vegetarian options for those who prefer that. But of course, there is more alcohol than one has ever seen because Angela knows the people she invited and knows quite a few of them have liquor in their veins instead of blood. Rule of thumb: more liquid than solids every time.

Everything's set and ready for the birthday girl to make her appearance, so for the time being, Angela's flitting around the place dressed in more subdued colors than usual, choosing black because no one gets to stand out more than Ginny tonight, and socializing with the few guests that have shown up already.

Sadly, there are no strippers. Ginny nixed that one hard.

"No? I mean I live with him but..." He leaves the sentence hanging there, really he just thought that Stiles did it because he is an ass and likes bickering with Isaac.

[affectioning]

"And Derek." He considers the next sentence. "If I ask you something, can you not let it get back to Stiles?"

[outofthefreezer]

He raises his eyebrows questioningly. "Uh, I guess? I mean... it depends what it is?" Because what are you talking about Scott.

[affectioning]

"You're around now. More. More than I am." But, then he catches a glimpse of Stiles and Ginny and there's no reason to get this out now, or let it get out any farther. "Just - can you keep an eye on him?"

[outofthefreezer]

"Wait, keep an eye on Stiles? I thought Derek had been doing that pretty successfully for the last year?" He can't help but feel a little concerned about Scott's motives, that and there's the fact that babysitting Stiles wasn't his idea of a good time.

[affectioning]

"Yeah, me too," he replies. "He has." And he's keeping everything else back. "I don't mean it like that. You don't have to babysit him."

[outofthefreezer]

"Okay..." The word is drawn out because Isaac has no idea what Scott wants, especially if he's not willing to tell him. "I'll keep an eye on him."

[affectioning]

"Thanks." He takes that. "How is it with Derek?"

[outofthefreezer]

"The same as always, distant and boring." They had barely spoken unless it was Derek's time to berate him for constantly getting at Stiles.

[affectioning]

"Have you thought about getting a job?"

[outofthefreezer]

"No..." Because that sounded equally boring, but he knew he could do it. "I mean I could get one, I guess? But what would I do?"

[affectioning]

"Anything. I think people help you. It's called training. It's a new idea."

[outofthefreezer]

"Yeah I could do something like that..." He wasn't going to do it, Isaac really did not want a job. He liked the idea of living a new life where he did nothing and also didn't fear for his safety.

[affectioning]

"But, you don't have to. Until you're eighteen, you'll get your allowance." So, that's okay.

[outofthefreezer]

"Good." Because forming career paths while he was here was not happening.

[affectioning]

"Good cake," he says.

[outofthefreezer]

"Uh, yeah..." He watches Scott out of the corner of his eye, he'd been acting weird over the last few days and Isaac wasn't exactly sure why things were so awkward between them since they arrived.

[affectioning]

"What?" Look at these puppy eyebrows. Nothing's weird. Or wrong. At all.

[outofthefreezer]

"Just you... and Stiles. And Derek." There are very pointed pauses between the three of them. "You're all acting weird."

[affectioning]

"Derek and Stiles are acting weird?" he asks, clearly interested.

[outofthefreezer]

"No.. that wasn't my point." He sighs. "Even the way you perked up hearing that, I mean all three of you are acting weird about each other, except maybe Derek he's just the one that you're acting weird about." It was really hard to explain considering no-one told him anything, they just kept being like this.

[affectioning]

He sighs.

"Don't ask. And I don't know - my mom thinks so and something is different. With them. I think there's something going on with them."

[outofthefreezer]

He seems less scowley now that someone is actually telling him what was going on, because it was getting tiring listening to half-things. "Wait, you mean romantically?" He can barely stop the mirth entering his face.

[affectioning]

"Yeah." He nods. "They act weird. Well, Stiles acts weird." Not that Stiles doesn't always act weird but it's a weirder kind of weird. "He smells like Derek. You've smelled it, right?" Sure, they live with Derek but -- it's clear.

[outofthefreezer]

"The whole house smells like Derek, hell I probably smell like Derek. I mean its like he rubbed himself on everything. Maybe Derek still has a thing for shoving Stiles into walls? He wasn't exactly peaceful back then?" He takes a second. "That and I haven't heard them screwing late at night so.." He shrugs, this is the Isaac Lahey compendium of Stiles/Derek knowledge.
