Summary: So basically Isaac is still pretty new to the city, this is mostly an adventure in finding where places are and maybe shopping for those City essentials. He could even stop for coffee!



He finally woke up today comfortable with the fact that he was living in the City, and that meant he had things to do. First and foremost getting clothes, he'd grabbed an outfit out of his wardrobe that must've belonged to him the last time he was here and was now fully prepared to take his first true excursion into the city.

Mostly he just wanted to see what was out there because it was difficult living somewhere without knowing what you could do with yourself at the end of the day. Then there was also the fact that he needed to start socializing. He let Stiles and Derek know he was heading out for a few hours and armed with his Network Device and the money he had left in a drawer he just started walking.

Feel free to stop him in the streets, in a store or even go for coffee because it was about time he started interacting outside of his Pack like that girl Clary had told him to.

Oh, well if he needs scarves. Also wow, word choice Isaac. Stiles thinks about just how abandoned you actually are and actually feels guilty.

"There are some good stores. The coffee shops are awesome too. And oh, the candy place, definitely worth a try."

Yes, number one ability Isaac has, giving people horrible guilt problems. "Candy place? So I guess that's where you spend all of your money." And would totally explain why Stiles is like a ferret bouncing about the place all the time.

[studmuffin]

"Shut up."

But he's almost smiling so that's a plus, "It's cool. Some of the stuff isn't even from our world so it's like a surprise each time I go in."

[outofthefreezer]

He grins at the jibe. "Really? What kind of stuff?" He keeps walking. "Oh and we need to stop at the Youth Center, so I can pick up this allowance."

[studmuffin]

"Sure, I used to live there so I can show you the way."

Tramping through the woods, "I usually drive but going into the Underground to get gas sucks."

[outofthefreezer]

"Cool. You're useful after all." Genuine snarkwolf Isaac Lahey. "You have your jeep? That's good to know."

[studmuffin]

"Bite me."

A pause, "Actually don't, you'd take that as an invitation."

[outofthefreezer]

He rolls his eyes. "You're not bite worthy, you'd make a really bad Werewolf."

[studmuffin]

"That's not what Derek thinks."

Whoops, gut reaction. He just keeps stomping, crunching sticks beneath his feet. "I was one. For a weekend. I was awesome."

[outofthefreezer]

"Wait, what? Derek thinks you should have the bite?" Because no, Isaac was Derek's only remaining werewolf and he was not having Stiles as a member of his pack for real. Totally ignores the part about the curse.

[studmuffin]

"Well, not anymore."

He can't help thinking he did something wrong. It's not like he wanted the bite, he kept saying no. But Scott showed up and suddenly Derek didn't want him a part of it.

"But he did, because he recognises my superior awesome qualities."

[outofthefreezer]

He gives Stiles a very confused look. "I uh, I don't think you should get it, seriously." Because being a werewolf comes with both perks and bad things.

[studmuffin]

"I said no."

The thing is, werewolf him had it so held together. But he was from a world where Stiles was the one Peter bit, where Stiles had listened to Derek from day one. If he changed now it would only make things so much worse.

"So how are you finding the City?"

[outofthefreezer]

"Okay..." He's glad for the change of topic because that's a weird scenario to think about. He keeps walking again, thankful that his agility meant he wasn't tripping all over the place.

"Its uh, interesting. I mean Scott wants me to get a job but I sorta just want to explore and get to know people?"

[studmuffin]

"Psh, you don't need a job. Derek'll probably run you ragged through the forest though. He did that last time."

Exiting the forest and taking the road to the City, "I mean I had one for a couple of weeks but it didn't make any difference."

[outofthefreezer]

"Sounds great." He says it in such a tone that he knew it wasn't really great but it was better than getting unfit?

He looks around at the outskirts of the City, remembering that it was weird they lived so far away. "Yeah, Scott can do his thing and I'll continue to annoy you as my day-job."

[studmuffin]

Can werewolves even get fat?

"Screw you." Ugh. But Isaac is being less weird than half of the people around them that it's kind of comforting to know he's here. Normality in the face of everything else.

[outofthefreezer]

"No thanks, Stiles. You're not my type." Because he couldn't help but make that kind of joke. It really was nice that despite everything Stiles was someone he could be his normal self with, no secrets, no suspicion.

[studmuffin]

He thinks about punching him in the arm then realises that would only hurt him.

"So, clothes? Anything else?"

[outofthefreezer]

"Comfort food, maybe?" Mostly food he could call his own and snack on because of Derek's REPLACE EVERYTHING rule. "Pretty much snacks, good coffee? You know, the kinda crap I can just have."

[studmuffin]

"There's a convenience store that has like all sorts of crazy sugary delights in it. I can show you? I need to get my own shit anyway, Scott kind of found mine."

[outofthefreezer]

He laughs. "Yeah, something tells me you need a lot of sugar to keep you running." Because Stiles is twelve, and that is what twelve year olds do.

[studmuffin]

"Wow, you're hilarious!"

Not.

[outofthefreezer]

"Yeah I get that a lot." No, he really doesn't.

[studmuffin]

"So did you check out our underground tunnel yet?"
